Newsweak, the well known Obama Propaganda Department magazine is beginning to make staff cuts, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.
“It isn’t clear how many jobs will be eliminated this time, though it won’t be nearly as many, say people with knowledge of the plan.”
“Mr. Meacham said recently that Newsweek has never been an objective summarizer of the week’s events, or “AP on nicer paper,” though he acknowledged a greater emphasis lately on editorializing. “We are trying to be more provocative,” he said.”
I admire Mr. Meacham’s candor. He’s right, they’re not objective, they’ve never been objective, which is why I’ve always wondered why the word “news” is included in their name.
Oh, Newsweak, it’s funny that you idiots think we’ve forgotten.
In case anyone missed it, last February, Mr. Meacham was completely humiliated when he spoke to a large group of journalism grad students at Columbia University who told him plainly that no one reads his magazine.
