Massive Pork Stimulus Bill Doesn’t Contain a Single Penny for Katrina Victims or NOLA
Surprising, considering how many times Obama has used Katrina to criticize his predecessor George W. Bush. In fact, many people on the left, fever stricken with Bush Derangement Syndrome even used words like “Katrina was Bush’s fault.”
Why then, wouldn’t Obama and his band of merry thieves include some provision in the Pork Bill to help Katrina victims and New Orleans? Jeff Crouere, a TV and radio personality speculates in a recent story. He makes a few interesting points, certainly this one:
“While every pork barrel project under the sun received funding, why was this area excluded? Could it be because both Louisiana and Mississippi voted for John McCain in the presidential election?”
Hmmm…..
Perhaps the stimulus bill’s lack of support for Katrina victims and New Orleans also explains why the White House web site has suddenly been scrubbed for criticism of Bush’s handling of Katrina. This fact was caught by a website called ProPublica which is tracking changes on the White House site.
