Code Pink Struggles To Stay Relevant By Shifting Focus To The Economy

codepinktroops

Yeah. Good luck with that.

The Politico reports:

“Is the mission now survival?”

“Like other peace groups whose support and interest have waned as the economy has taken center stage, Code Pink is trying to stay relevant by shifting its focus.”

“On Saturday, this maneuver will be put on display in Lower Manhattan, when Code Pink joins in a rally led by another anti-war group, United for Peace and Justice, to address the military action in Iraq and Afghanistan and the economic crisis.”

Of course the mission is survival. Now that Code Pink knows Obama, the candidate they supported, is every bit the “warmonger” they accused Bush of being, how can they possibly continue to make the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan their focus? Short answer: they can’t.

Politico goes on to say:

“Last week, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) — one of the staunchest opponents of the Iraq war — got a blast of the Code Pink treatment when a couple of its members interrupted a hearing where Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was testifying.”

“In a telephone interview, Code Pink’s Benjamin tried to cast this liberal-on-liberal skirmish as a badge of honor for her group, proof that it’s not on the cuff of any political party.”

Whaaaaaa?????  Not on the cuff of any political party?

One rarely has the chance to see such carefully prepared hypocrisy.

Code Pink made a hobby of loudly disrupting ANY Republican related event they could sneak into for the last few years.

Additionally, these moonbats were major supporters of Barack Obama, to the point where they were given front row seats at his coronation inauguration.

Code Pink is obviously trying to stay relevant in a political atmosphere that brutally points out their laughable partisanship and hypocrisy.

Methinks they doth protest too much.
