TV Guide reports that Embassy Suites Hotels have pulled their ads from the CBS website because of Letterman’s disgusting partisan attack on Governor Sarah Palin and her daughters. Full story HERE.

“Embassy Suites, part of the Hilton Hotels Corp., pulled advertising on CBS’ site because of complaints, company spokeswoman Kendra Walker told TVGuide.com. The company was not an advertiser on Letterman’s show.”

“We received lots of e-mails from concerned guests and we assessed that the statement that he made was offensive enough to our guests and prospective guests that we elected to take the ads down,” Walker said. She declined to release the cost of the ads.”

“CBS declined to comment Tuesday.”

Letterman was consequently forced to eat his own shit on the show Monday night. Video below.

Protests are still planned for Tuesday June 16th at 4;30 pm in front of the Ed Sullivan Theater according to the activists at FireDavidLetterman.com.

NOTE: I watched the Late Show tonight in anticipation of Letterman’s apology. I believe it came too late and I noticed a disturbing number of cheap shots at Conservatives and Republicans in his opening monologue which I’m sure will become clear as more videos emerge from last night’s show.

Letterman also failed to apologize for referring to Governor Sarah Palin as a “slut” which would never have been excused or forgiven had he said it about Michelle Obama or Jill Biden.

This leads me to believe that Letterman’s apology was nothing more than Crocodile Tears shed over the loss of public approval.

I therefore have no sympathy for Letterman and invoke the immortal words of Don Ameche in Trading Places when speaking of his own brother he said…“Fuck him.”
