Obama is headed to Denmark because he wants the 2016 Summer Olympics to happen in Chicago.
“With growing pressure for decisions on life-or-death issues in Afghanistan and Iran, this morning the White House announced that President Obama will soon travel to…Copenhagen. Obama will be in Denmark for just a few hours — he leaves this Thursday and returns Friday — which is just enough time to make a pitch for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic Games. He’ll be following First Lady Michelle Obama, who is also going to Copenhagen as part of the promote-Chicago team.”
In other news, it has been reported today that Obama has spoken to his top general in Afghanistan just once since he arrived on the scene.
“The military general credited with capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, says he has spoken with President Obama only once since taking command in Afghanistan.”
“I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC [video teleconferece],” Gen. Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday.”
“You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?” Mr. Martin followed up.”
“That is correct,” the general replied.”
One conversation with General McChrystal compared to 5 television appearances last Sunday to push his healthcare plan and now an “emergency” trip to Denmark to advocate for Chicago’s inclusion in the Olympics?
Where are President Obama’s priorities?

I was wondering whether to even bother with a comment on the material in the article. What makes you think you know how Obama ought to conduct himself in the war? I’m reminded of one of a statement that preceded his comments to one of his critics. He said, “Let me think for a minute.” What a novel idea. A politician that takes a moment to think–unlike George Bush, for example.
You hear conservative always denigrating his taking on too many tasks at one time. That’s only an example of the limited conservative ability to multi-task, or multi-think.
