Screenshots: Washington Post Alters Headline Critical Of Obama
I was skeptical when I saw a comment on Michelle Malkin’s website which suggested that the Washington Post changed their headline on a story that’s critical of Obama’s stupid new Attack Watch site.
Turns out the commenter is exactly right. See the screenshots below.
Here’s a shot of the original headline, picked up by the automated news aggregation site Memeorandum.
It clearly says Obama’s new site is a laughing stock of the internet.

If you click on the link however, the headline has been altered to say laughing stock of conservatives.

Someone made a conscious decision to change that headline for a reason and there’s a big difference in the meaning of those two headlines.
The original headline suggested that everyone on the internet is laughing, the second one implies that only conservatives are laughing.
Who made the change and why?
UPDATE: An excellent catch by ZIP of Weasel Zippers – the permanent url for the Washington Post uses the word internet, not conservatives.
