Your Tax Dollars At Work: $500K In Stimulus Funds Spent Advertising Obama Programs On MSNBC
Remember the trillion dollar stimulus bill we now have nothing to show for? Remember when we were told it was for the purpose of creating jobs and jumpstarting the economy?
What part of job creation and the economy has to do with spending $500,000 of tax payer money to run pro-Obama ads on the Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann shows?
This is an outrage. Think about it, if you pay taxes, your money could have contributed to the financing of TV shows on MSNBC. Are you OK with that?
You better be, you paid for it…
The Labor Department paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal stimulus funds to a public relations firm to run more than 100 commercials touting the Obama administration’s “green training” job efforts on two popular MSNBC cable shows, records show.
The commercials ran on MSNBC on shows hosted by Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann in 2009, but the contract didn’t report any jobs created, according to records recently reviewed by The Washington Times.
Spending reports under the federal Recovery Act show $495,000 paid to McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC, which the Labor Department hired to raise awareness “among employers and influencers about the [Job Corps] program’s existing and new training initiatives in high growth and environmentally friendly career areas” as well as spreading the word to prospective Job Corps enrollees.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, the stimulus bill was a great big scam.
It was a slush fund. Nothing more than a trillion dollars worth of walking around money for Obama and his Dem cronies to dole out to whomever they saw fit.
It was money to pay off unions, ACORN and a handful of other Obama cronies we haven’t even heard about yet.
Obama and the culture of corruption that surrounds him must go.
