Keep Talking About Big Bird Obama

October 9, 2012

Remember this famous quote?

If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things. - Barack Obama 2008

We now know that when Obama said that he was quoting from his own playbook. Obama’s presidency has been diminished to the point where he’s running around the country repeatedly talking about Big Bird. Not jobs, not the economy, not Libya, not his record… Big Bird.

Some liberals are wondering why he keeps bringing up a reminder of his thrashing in the worst presidential debate in modern history. I have a theory on that… I think he still can’t believe it. He’s like a man with a toothache who keeps touching the affected tooth to make sure it still hurts.

And now he’s fixated on Big Bird. I sure hope he keeps it up.

Bryan Jacoutot at Legal Insurrection knows what I’m talking about.

Here’s the now infamous Big Bird video the Obama campaign released today.

They claim the liberal grassroots made them do it.

The Republican Party put out this helpful reminder today.

Keep talking about Big Bird, Obama. Please!

But the Obama ad, as horribly over the top silly, is also effective. Not sure the Dems remember any of the Wall Street scandals, or the fact that Obama’s biggest campaign contributors in 2008 were Wall Street fat cats.

I think the ad is pointless, should be embarrassing for the campaign, the whole concept on Big Bird is distracting, and screams desperation in an attempt to save face after his debate performance. It’s pitiful. For his sake, I hope he refocuses his campaign quickly and leave all this Big Bird talk where it belongs…to the kids. http://notfornothin.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/the-big-bird-factor/
