Prayers For The Victims of Sandy

October 30, 2012

I knew Hurricane Sandy was a big storm as it was approaching land but I had NO idea how bad the destruction was when I went to bed last night. It was only when I got to work this morning and looked at the news that I realized the seriousness of the situation.

Being a lifetime New Englander, I’m so used to this part of the country bearing the brunt of hurricane destruction. But last night by 9 pm it wasn’t even raining in Boston anymore and the wind had died down. I didn’t know until today that when Sandy hit the New York area it veered to the West.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and any other states that suffered severe destruction.

Please offer your prayers and thoughts for the people who lost loved ones or their homes, the people who are still trapped in their homes and anyone else in need.

We’ll get through this America. We always do.

For donations, I recommend the American Red Cross.
