Washington Post Hit Piece On Sarah Palin Blows Up In Its Face

February 12, 2013

Suzi Parker of the Washington Post wrote a hit piece about Sarah Palin today titled…

‘Sarah Palin tries to stay relevant’

The report claimed that having left FOX News, Sarah Palin was now going to join Al Jazeera.

There was just one little problem with the story. It wasn’t true. The source Parker cited in the story was a parody news site called The Daily Currant.

The WAPO story now carries this embarrassing correction right up at the top of the page:

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this post and the post’s URL incorrectly reported that Sarah Palin had signed on as a contributor to the Al Jazeera America news network. The blogger cited a report on the Daily Currant Web site as the basis for that information without realizing that the piece was satirical.

The amazing thing about this is that the Washington Post which is supposedly such a highly respected publication, went to press with the fake story because they wanted it to be true. They were in such a rush to print something that made Sarah Palin look bad that they didn’t even bother to check the facts.

I have never seen someone who lives so rent free in the heads of liberals as Sarah Palin. The 2008 election was five years ago and the liberal media is still, to this day, obsessed with her and anything they can find that justifies their unfair treatment of her. It really is amazing.

The unemployment rate is higher now than it was when Obama took office in 2009 and the MSM is hunting for Sarah Palin hit pieces. Mary Katherine Ham suggests the WAPO was just looking for the traffic which comes with Palin’s name, which is an excellent point.

Well, at least they’re getting traffic.

Twitchy launched the new hashtag #SuziParkerScoops which is now trending on Twitter.

Even Sarah Palin herself got in on the act.

Good for you, Governor Palin.

You deserve the last laugh.
