Kids, If You Think You’re Angry Now…
Undergraduate students at UCLA Davis protested yesterday over a proposed 32% hike in tuition.
“Angry students at the Davis, California, branch of the University of California refused to vacate the school’s administration building Thursday evening in a show of defiance and protest over a 32-percent undergraduate tuition hike instituted by the California Board of Regents earlier in the day.”
“About 50 students remained in the building, which was supposed to close by 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET), UC Davis spokeswoman Claudia Morain told CNN. At one point, as many as 150 students were at the building protesting the tuition increase, she said. She said she hopes campus police can resolve the issue without the need to make arrests.”
“CNN affiliate KCRA captured footage of students outside the building shouting, “Who’s university? Our university!”
In the video below, the students are protesting as if the university was run by Bush and Cheney. Some of them are carrying signs that say “Yes We Can Take Back Our University.” Has no one clued them in to the fact that Barack Obama – for whom most of them probably voted – is now “the man?” Has no one explained to them that the reason for the increase in tuition is that Democrat legislators have bankrupted the state of California?
Has no one explained to them that if they’re angry about paying more now, they have a world of pain in store for them if Obama’s agenda passes?
Kids, if you think you’re angry now, just wait. Wait until you have your own kids, a job and taxes that are destroying your opportunity to follow your bliss.
In the promise of Obama, Generation Y was sold a bill of goods. When they finally figure out how much it’s going to cost them in the long term, there will be hell to pay.
