Obama And Democrats STILL Trying to Push Forward With ObamaCare

It’s amazing. They just refuse to let it die. It doesn’t matter what the vast majority of the American people say or do, the three headed monster known as Obama/Pelosi/Reid won’t listen.  They want to do what they want to do and the American people can go to hell.

The American people elected Christie and McDonnell, they ignored it. The American people elected Scott Brown, they ignored it. The town hall meetings, the protests, the tea parties, ignored ignored ignored. Rasmussen and Gallup polls show that Obama is in free fall and are promptly ignored.

Millions of people are still unemployed and some losing their homes as a result. All Obama cares about is what he views as his mandate.

President Barack Obama is putting forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year health care plan that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriated consumers.

Posted Monday morning on the White House Web site, the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit.

It conspicuously omits a government insurance plan sought by liberals.

But it’s uncertain that such an ambitions plan can pass, since Republicans are virtually all opposed and some Democrats who last year supported sweeping health care changes are having second thoughts. After a year in pursuit of his top domestic priority, Obama may have to settle for a modest fallback.

SNIP

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday he would participate, but insisted Obama and congressional Democrats would be wrong to push the bills they wrote in the House and Senate.

“The fundamental point I want to make is the arrogance of all of this. You know, they are saying: ‘Ignore the wishes of the American people. We know more about this than you do. And we’re going to jam it down your throats no matter what.’ That is why the public is so angry at this Congress and this administration over this issue,” said McConnell, R-Ky, speaking on “Fox News Sunday.”

The refusal of the White House to listen to the people is maddening. It reminds me of this classic old cartoon from The Electric Company. Give it a watch. The waitress is the American people and the customer is the Obama White House.

Politico’s Cartoons Suck

As you probably know, The Politico is a news publication that launched in 2007 to cover all things political in Washington, DC. They have one cartoonist named Matt Wuerker.

Wuerker’s art is fun to look at but the message of his cartoons clearly illustrates his political agenda. Matt Wuerker is a progressive who hates conservatives and Republicans. That’s fine and Wuerker is entitled to his opinion but why is he the only cartoonist at The Politico and why is he continually allowed to unfairly assign blame?

Consider the two cartoons featured on The Politico’s website at the time of this writing…

In the cartoon below, Wuerker suggests that every problem currently faced by the Democratic Party is the fault of Republicans who are throwing wrenches into the machine. Earth to Matt Wuerker – Republicans have no power, Democrats currently control everything!

Wuerker Blames GOP for Dem Problems

In the next cartoon, Wuerker blames General McChrystal for the situation in Afghanistan, which he clearly views as a quagmire, while conveniently ignoring the fact that it’s President Obama who is ultimately responsible for the troop surge.

Wuerker Blames McChrystal for Obamas Decisions

Having a political cartoonist with a slant is fine but The Politico would do better to represent more than just one side of the issues since it presents itself as a publication that covers both sides of the aisle.

I like political cartoons but Wuerker’s drawings are completely one sided.

If The Politico wants to be perceived as non-partisan, they should cough up the dough and also run the cartoons of Michael Ramirez. After all, even Sean Hannity features liberal guests once in a while. Hint hint…

Libertarian Civil War?

Hey, why not? The Democrats are having a civil war, the Republicans are having a civil war, it’s about time Libertarians got in on the game.

Allahpundit made Libertarian unrest the subject of Hot Air’s “Quote of the Day” today citing an article at Reason.com about Glenn Beck.

More evidence of the Libertarian cannibal blood feast can be seen in South Park’s recent parody of Beck.  South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, like Beck, are Libertarians.

“Libertarians are eating each other alive. And it doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t make any sense. But see, there’s no, there’s no structure to it. And I’m fine with that. But that’s why libertarians lose is because there’s no, there’s no system. There’s no system. And so there’s no one to defend. And so the, both parties, when they start to grind down on you, you have the entire system against you, and it’s quite amazing. It’s quite amazing.”

“So here’s Cartman. Now, this is South Park, and I’m flattered. But remember these guys are libertarians. Here’s South Park.”

Frankly, I don’t see a civil war happening among Libertarians. You’re either a Libertarian who supports Pelosi & Obama or you’re a real Libertarian.

Robert Stacy McCain understands the issue that concerns most of us: Libertarian Sideboob!
