Fine Gold

Democrat Senator Russ Feingold is clinging by his fingernails to the land of rainbow shitting unicorns. The Hill Reports…

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) decried what he said was a “systematic, conscious” effort by groups to “destroy” President Obama. Feingold, who’s facing a tough reelection effort this fall, blamed coordinated opposition to Obama and the Democratic agenda in Congress for some of the political and electoral woes facing his party this fall.

Puhhlleeeaaase…….

Dem Congresswoman Brings Hired Goon to Town Hall Meeting

Remember back in June when Democrats were afraid to go to town hall meetings?

The latest profile in courage from the ruling party is brought to you by Rep. Melissa Bean (D-IL). Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit has the scoop…

Rep. Melissa Bean (D-IL) brought Bruno the Bone-Crusher with her to a town hall meeting this weekend to threaten constituents. The meeting was held at Round Lake, Illinois Public library on Thursday August 12. The Obamacare-supporting democrat allowed the thug to roam around the room to intimidate constituents from asking questions.

I have to admit I was skeptical until I watched the video below. There’s no second guessing what’s happening here is intimidation, plain and simple.

Robert Gibbs Insults Leftists, Hilarity Ensues

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs really is the gift that keeps on giving. Yesterday in an interview with The Hill, Gibbs lobbed some angry comments at Obama’s base “professional leftists” and launched an angry liberal shitstorm in the blogosphere…

The White House is simmering with anger at criticism from liberals who say President Obama is more concerned with deal-making than ideological purity.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

The press secretary dismissed the “professional left” in terms very similar to those used by their opponents on the ideological right, saying, “They will be satisfied when we have Canadian healthcare and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.”

Of those who complain that Obama caved to centrists on issues such as healthcare reform, Gibbs said: “They wouldn’t be satisfied if Dennis Kucinich was president.”

REALLY? You mean all those laughably unrealistic promises Obama made on the campaign trail weren’t based in reality?

The remarks by Gibbs made lefty bloggers at Americablog (not to be confused with American Glob) so angry that they revealed a little too much about the payback they expected for all the “dirty work” they did for Obama during the campaign. Via Gateway Pundit…

Joe and I are upset with Obama, and we, for example, raised nearly $43,000 for the man, According to the White House, our money now doesn’t count. Great, would they like to give it back? I for one, would love the $1000 back that I personally donated to the Obama campaign. Joe gave even more. I suspect a lot of our readers wouldn’t mind their contributions back too, since apparently they’re not appreciated.

Then there’s all that work we did for the campaign, all the dirty work they asked us to do – and we did it, gladly, and quietly – none of that counted either, apparently.

Panic on the left, anyone?

More popcorn, please…

Of Course… An Obama Campaign Adviser Was on JournoList

Technically, they were all acting as Obama campaign advisers and that’s the scandal.

In this particular case however, the person in question actually worked for the Obama Campaign. The Volokh Conspiracy has the details…

Jared Bernstein, chief economist for Vice President Joseph Biden, served in 2008 as an economic adviser to the Obama campaign. At the same time, he was a member of JournoList, the controversial progressive email list.

Bernstein’s bio at Politico, which appears not to have been updated since 2008, states: “He is an economic adviser to the Obama campaign.”

He was known to many for his regular appearances on the financial channel CNBC. His primary employer in 2008 was the Economic Policy Institute, a pro-labor progressive think tank, but according to his bio when appointed to the Obama-Biden Administration, he also was a member of the Panel of Economic Advisers of the Congressional Budget Office.

Reached today at the Office of the Vice President, Bernstein revealed that his position with the Obama campaign was as something called a “surrogate.” “I was not paid by the campaign,” he explained. “They would call me from time to time to represent their positions, that side of the debate.”

Asked when he left JournoList, Bernstein replied, ‘‘I think I left the list around the time I came here.” Bernstein was announced as Chief Economist and Economic Policy Adviser to the Vice President-elect on December 8, 2008.

One question that has arisen in the last week is how closely JournoList members, not only discussed how to shape the news to advance the fortunes of Barack Obama, but coordinated with the Obama campaign. Jared Bernstein’s position as an unpaid adviser and surrogate shows that there was at least one direct link between JournoList and the Obama campaign.

I, for one, am shocked.

The NAACP Doesn’t Protect Black People, It Protects Democrats

Let’s deal in reality, shall we?

Yesterday, the NAACP passed a resolution calling the Tea Party “racist.”

Of course, they haven’t made a peep about the New Black Panther voter intimidation case.

The video below shows Andrew Breitbart and civil rights activist Michael Myers discussing the political double standard with Sean Hannity and agreeing.

Allahpundit knows what I’m talking about.

If the NAACP is a non-partisan group, did they defend….

Kenneth Gladney? NOPE.

Michelle Malkin? OOPS!

Republican, Cedra Crenshaw? CRICKETS.

Funny that.

VIDEO: Media Giant Mort Zuckerman Says He Wrote a Speech For Obama

Here’s more unsurprising proof of media collusion in the election of Barack Obama.

Mort Zuckerman, who Gateway Pundit notes is a pretty influential media fixture, admitted on Your World With Neil Cavuto today that he wrote a speech for Obama.

Apparently, Mort no longer likes Obama so Gawker, the eternal Obama defender, has rushed to discredit Mort Zuckerman. Ironically, they revealed an even more damning fact in the process…

He used to date noted liberal skank, Arianna Huffington.

I, for one, am shocked.

“Draft Sarah Palin” for RNC Chair Movement Gains Steam, Steele Says He “Ain’t Going Anywhere.”

Well that didn’t take long.

I noticed the first rumblings of this idea recently on The Corner at National Review.

Now there’s a website. Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit had the following to say:

The failure of Chairman Steele to successfully sell Liberty over Socialism, and to cultivate and facilitate those future candidates who can, is emblematic of the dysfunction of the Republican party, a dysfunction which has over the past four years led the party to near-ruin. We need a true and tested leader.

We need Sarah Palin.

In a case of ironic timing, embattled RNC Chair Michael Steele announced today that he “ain’t going anywhere.”

“I ain’t going anywhere,” Steele said to cheers at the opening Colorado Republican Party’s “Victory” program in Colorado. “I’m here. I’m here. Look, we have too much work to do; we have too much work to do.”

He added, “Look, every time something happens, people go, ‘Oh, you should step down, step down. Well, the reality of it is that’s not happening, so stop the noise on that.”

In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream Allahu Akbar

Which is the only reason I can imagine for what NASA is currently up to…

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his “foremost” mission as the head of America’s space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA’s orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

Charles Krauthammer, for one, is not amused.

Heh. Gateway Pundit says, “Don’t hold back, Charles.”

Given that NASA used to be related to space travel, I knew I had to consult The Jawa Report on this development. As usual, they did not disappoint…

A couple goals missing from Obama’s new International Social Justice Department (formerly NASA) is anything to do with the atmosphere, space, or aeronautics. This makes sense, especially when considering job creation efforts don’t create jobs and economic stimulus comes closer to invigorating the rear sphincter valve than the economy.

The award for best snark of all goes to I Own The World.

Executive Experience Matters

Remember 2008, when we were all told that Obama had adequate executive experience just from running his presidential campaign? Byron York remembers too…

In mid-February 2008, fresh from winning a bunch of Super Tuesday primaries, Barack Obama granted an interview to “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Croft. “When you sit down and you look at [your] resume,” Croft said to Obama, “there’s no executive experience, and in fact, correct if I’m wrong, the only thing that you’ve actually run was the Harvard Law Review.”

“Well, I’ve run my Senate office, and I’ve run this campaign,” Obama said. SNIP

Fast forward to 2010. The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is gushing out of control. The Obama administration is at first slow to see the seriousness of the accident. Then, as the crisis becomes clear, the federal bureaucracy becomes entangled in itself trying to deal with the problem. “At least a dozen federal agencies have taken part in the spill response,” the New York Times reports, “making decision-making slow, conflicted and confused, as they sought to apply numerous federal statutes.” SNIP

Given all that, perhaps candidates in future presidential races will think twice before arguing that running their campaign counts as executive experience.

The handling of the BP oil disaster has been called Obama’s Katrina and some have compared it to the Iran hostage crisis of the 1970′s. Pick whichever metaphor floats your boat but one thing is sure, it’s a disaster not only for America but also for Obama.

How many weeks has it been? And today we find out that Obama hasn’t even spoken to the CEO of BP?

He’s certainly found time for other things.
