Obama’s Midas Touch

Obama campaigned for Jon Corzine in New Jersey and Corzine lost.

Obama campaigned for Creigh Deeds in Virginia and Deeds lost.

Obama campaigned for Martha Coakley in Massachusetts and Coakley lost.

Obama campaigned for Harry Reid in Nevada last week and guess what happened…

Reid got no bounce from Obama’s visit on Feb. 19, when the president spoke highly of him at Green Valley High School and to business leaders at CityCenter, polling indicates.

A larger percentage of voters surveyed (17 percent) said they would be less likely to vote for Reid following the president’s visit than said they would be more likely to vote for him (7 percent). Seventy-five percent said Obama’s visit would have no effect on how they vote.

“Reid was not helped, and Obama was not any more popular than he was before he came to the state,” said Brad Coker, managing director at Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.

Democrats have long thought that President Obama’s personal popularity is their secret weapon. They’re repeatedly proven wrong but they keep trying to use the same strategy. What was it Einstein said about the definition of insanity?

Oh yeah.

Obama And Democrats STILL Trying to Push Forward With ObamaCare

It’s amazing. They just refuse to let it die. It doesn’t matter what the vast majority of the American people say or do, the three headed monster known as Obama/Pelosi/Reid won’t listen.  They want to do what they want to do and the American people can go to hell.

The American people elected Christie and McDonnell, they ignored it. The American people elected Scott Brown, they ignored it. The town hall meetings, the protests, the tea parties, ignored ignored ignored. Rasmussen and Gallup polls show that Obama is in free fall and are promptly ignored.

Millions of people are still unemployed and some losing their homes as a result. All Obama cares about is what he views as his mandate.

President Barack Obama is putting forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year health care plan that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriated consumers.

Posted Monday morning on the White House Web site, the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit.

It conspicuously omits a government insurance plan sought by liberals.

But it’s uncertain that such an ambitions plan can pass, since Republicans are virtually all opposed and some Democrats who last year supported sweeping health care changes are having second thoughts. After a year in pursuit of his top domestic priority, Obama may have to settle for a modest fallback.

SNIP

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday he would participate, but insisted Obama and congressional Democrats would be wrong to push the bills they wrote in the House and Senate.

“The fundamental point I want to make is the arrogance of all of this. You know, they are saying: ‘Ignore the wishes of the American people. We know more about this than you do. And we’re going to jam it down your throats no matter what.’ That is why the public is so angry at this Congress and this administration over this issue,” said McConnell, R-Ky, speaking on “Fox News Sunday.”

The refusal of the White House to listen to the people is maddening. It reminds me of this classic old cartoon from The Electric Company. Give it a watch. The waitress is the American people and the customer is the Obama White House.

I Can’t Wait to Hear What Janeane Garofalo Has to Say About Harry Reid’s “Negro” Statement

After all, Janeane Garofalo is such an expert authority on racist tea parties and conservatives. How will she spin this?

Washington (CNN) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (DEMOCRAT) apologized Saturday following reports he had privately described then-candidate Barack Obama during the presidential campaign as a black candidate who could be successful thanks in part to his “light-skinned” appearance and speaking patterns “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann reported the remarks in their new book “Game Change,” which was purchased by CNN Saturday at a Washington-area bookstore. The book is slated for official release next Tuesday.

I’ve checked Garofalo’s Twitter page but it looks like she hasn’t updated it since accusing Republicans of racism back in April of last year.

ObamaCare Bribery Roundup!

Democrats

Harry Reid’s Bribes

“Setting aside the question of blatant public bribery – using taxpayer funds – it is clear that the “deal” that bought Senator Ben Nelson’s vote, and the earlier deal that bought Senator Mary Landrieu’s vote, are unequivocally unconstitutional,” Parson said from his home in Moapa, Nevada. Article IV Section 1 states that the: Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.”

Americans Should Look at Bribes in Health Bill

“Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, a Republican, says it appears there — are — enough votes for passage, unless the American people can build enough momentum through “irate” phone calls and e-mails over the next 48 hours to derail the measure.”

“Grassley says, “For the 61% of the people in this country that don’t want this, even after it’s passed the Senate, and I think the more the special interests like the ‘Nebraska bribe’ or the ‘Louisiana bribe’ are brought to the attention of the people, the more negative reaction there’s going to be.”

Bribery Evident in Health Care Votes

“I am so angry it is hard to express my thinking in a rational manner. In order to pass a bill that 60 percent of the American people do not want, our Senate leadership resorted to pure bribery. I should point out that in political terms, 60 percent is a landslide. First we are paying Mary Landrieu, D-La., $300 million for a second Louisiana Purchase to change her vote. That’s bribery. Now we are paying Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who knows how much for his vote. The bill requires all states to extend Medicaid coverage to everyone below 133 percent of the poverty level. That’s an unfunded mandate. After 2016 Nebraska is exempt from paying any additional costs. That’s bribery.”

Bribery in Congress?

“Sadly, certain House and Senate members have voluntarily elected to sell their dignity, their honor, their values, their commitments to their constituents, along with their Constitutional oaths of office, to the Congressional Leadership at “individually negotiated prices, while at the same time, selling out the vast majority of their constituents.”

Bribery in Washington

“It used to be that if you bribed a senator for his vote, you were tried and jailed. Now, as evidenced by Ben Nelson of Nebraska, senators and the White House are bribing senators. See what our country has come to in less than a year under this president and the Democrats in charge. There is nothing they won’t do to get what they want, and the rest of us be damned.”

Where is Our Bribe?

“Something astounding happened this year, for the second year in a row.  Last year the Republicans gave themselves $140 billion in bribes – of our money – to pass legislation which most Americans were against. Yesterday, the Democrats, with Harry Reid at the helm, gave away more of our money in exchange for a vote for the new health care bill – for our sake of course.”

Stupak: My Party’s Trying to Bribe Me

“After watching the Senate’s health-care debate, Rep. Bart Stupak (D., Mich.) tells NRO that he has one message for President Obama and House speaker Nancy Pelosi: “You don’t buy me off.” Stupak tells us that he’s disappointed that Democratic leaders have offered him legislative favors in exchange for supporting Obamacare.”

VIDEO: OurCountryPAC Attacks Harry Reid in New Ad

This ad brings up a few things I had forgotten about Harry Reid, like when he said that American tourists were stinking up the Capitol Building.

Reid’s unseating in the Senate will be a happy day for America.

Against The Will of the People

The government of the United States is working against the will of the people.

NO ONE wants this disastrous health care legislation. The left hates it. The right hates it. Many in the middle hate it. The latest CNN poll shows that over 60% of the American people oppose it. Yet Reid, Pelosi and Obama are moving forward with it. Against the will of the American people.

They used extortion to get it. They used bribery to get it. They used secrecy to get it.

The lack of transparency involved in this nightmare legislation flies in the face of everything Obama campaigned on.

The legislation was never online.

The arguments were never televised on CSPAN.

The bill was hidden from the public.

Yet Reid, Pelosi and Obama are moving forward with it. Against the will of the people.

They are supposed to work for the people. They were put into office by the people. They are supposed to represent the interests of the people. But they think they know better than the people and they don’t care what we think.

Christmas 2009 will be remembered as a sad time for America.

A time when the United States Government looked to the American people and said “Merry Christmas and fuck you. We don’t care what you think.”

QUESTION: What Do Democrats Do When They Can’t Defend The Failure of Their Elected Leaders?

ANSWER: They attack the people they perceive to be the leaders of their opposition. Even if they’re not elected officials.

As the left finds itself unable to defend Barack Obama’s decision to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, they’re in a desperate scramble to somehow blame ANYONE but Obama for the decision.

Who are the most obvious targets? To whom can the left quickly assign blame for the failure of their elected leaders?

(pant-pant-pant)

Aha!

PALIN!!!!!!

BECK!!!!!!!!

Pay no attention to the economy, unemployment or the wars, America!

(pant, pant, pant)

Sarah Palin has a retarded son!

Glenn Beck didn’t sell alot of movie tickets!

THAT’S the real problem with America.

Ignore the fact that Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck aren’t elected officials with no power in American government. Ignore the fact that Obama is the President of the United States. Ignore the fact that Nancy Pelosi runs the House of Representatives. Ignore the fact that Harry Reid runs the United States Senate.

It’s all Palin and Beck’s fault!

It’s all Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck’s fault!!!

Sorry, Harry

It’s a tough time to be Harry Reid.

Public support for ObamaCare is going down like a lead sinker on a fishing line.

sorry charlie“Just 38% of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.”

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% now oppose the plan.”

What’s that old Dylan lyric? “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” Pun intended, Mr. Ayers.

Speaking of Bill Ayers, doesn’t this headline from February 2008 completely discredit Politico’s Ben Smith???
