While many Americans are already scratching their heads wondering why KSM is entitled to a civilian trial, the situation got weirder today.

The Obama Administration has authorized the “targeted killing” of American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki.

Awlaki is a real bad guy so I don’t mind too much but this doesn’t really fit with the whole KSM thing, does it?

The Obama administration has taken the extraordinary step of authorizing the targeted killing of an American citizen, the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is believed to have shifted from encouraging attacks on the United States to directly participating in them, intelligence and counterterrorism officials said Tuesday.

Mr. Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico and spent years in the United States as an imam, is in hiding in Yemen. He has been the focus of intense scrutiny since he was linked to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Tex., in November, and then to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man charged with trying to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner on Dec. 25.

White House officials have told the Justice Department to consider other venues for the 9/11 terror trial that was to be held in lower Manhattan, the Daily News has learned.

The decision came after Mayor Bloomberg and other politicians across the state railed against President Obama’s plan to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Manhattan Federal Court.

Attorney General Eric Holder now has to think of other places where the trial could take place, officials said.

I agree with these protesters. Trying KSM in New York is a really dumb idea.

How can anyone disagree with Krauthammer on this? Why is Eric Holder setting this up as “the trial of the century?”

Could it be that the Obama Administration is trying to take our minds off the climbing unemployment rate? Their indecision on Afghanistan? Sarah Palin? All of the above?

Ponder the subject while you bask in Krauthammer’s glory…

This is outrageous.

If you had any doubt about how out of touch the Obama Administration is about 9/11 and the prosecution of terrorists in New York City, rather than military tribunals, feast your eyes below.

Appearing on The O’Reilly Factor tonight, terrorist defense lawyer Scott Fenstermaker:

- Would not admit Americans were murdered on 9/11.

- Repeatedly disputed the number of people killed on 9/11.

- Said those who oppose the NYC trial are “against the rule of law.”

About what I just saw on The O’Reilly Factor.

Bill O’Reilly interviewed one of the lawyers who will be defending KSM and the other terrorists in New York City.

The lawyer refused to admit that Americans were murdered on 9/11 and disputed the number of Americans who were killed.

If this is any indication of what the trial is going to be like, it’s going to be much worse than I feared.
