“Oh, what a difference a multimillion-dollar book deal makes.”

“About a year after Sarah Palin famously turned down a campaign season appearance with talk show host – and major Barack Obama supporter – Oprah Winfrey, the former GOP vice presidential candidate has agreed to take her turn on the couch.”

That’s funny.

The way I remember it,  Oprah REFUSED to have Sarah Palin on her show…

“Are you kidding me? The strongest and most popular voice for women in this country is refusing to interview the first woman nominated to be vice president in 24 years?”

Gee, I wonder if the media distrust comes from the thorough non-vetting/cheerleading of candidate Obama coupled with the media driven Inquisition of Sarah Palin?

Or could it be tied to the non-coverage of a radical 9/11 truther in the White House?

Or could it be the non-coverage of a triple pronged underage prostitution scandal at ACORN?

Maybe it’s the media driven demonizing of Tea Parties or the ongoing accusations of racism for ANYONE who disagrees with Obama?

Or is it that the media is deliberately downplaying the size of the 9/12 march in Washington, DC?

Whatever the reason, PEW has revealed something many Americans already knew. We no longer trust the media:

“The public’s assessment of the accuracy of news stories is now at its lowest level in more than two decades of Pew Research surveys, and Americans’ views of media bias and independence now match previous lows.”

“Just 29% of Americans say that news organizations generally get the facts straight, while 63% say that news stories are often inaccurate. In the initial survey in this series about the news media’s performance in 1985, 55% said news stories were accurate while 34% said they were inaccurate. That percentage had fallen sharply by the late 1990s and has remained low over the last decade.”

People are starting to notice the venom regularly spewed forth by America’s radical left Obama supporters.

The editors of Wikipedia are carefully protecting President Obama’s entry on the site and actively deleting any information they deem negative. Writers from the conservative publication World Net Daily added information about William Ayers and Reverend Wright to the official Obama article on Wikipedia this weekend, fully supported by legitimate news sources only to find their additions deleted minutes later and their user accounts suspended for three days. WND reported yesterday:

“The entire Wikipedia entry on Obama seems to be heavily promotional toward the U.S. president. It contains nearly no criticism or controversy, including appropriate mention of important issues where relevant.

For example, the current paragraph on Obama’s religion contains no mention of Wright, even though Obama’s association with the controversial pastor was one of the most talked about issues during the presidential campaign.

That paragraph states: “Obama explained how, through working with black churches as a community organizer while in his twenties, he came to understand ‘the power of the African-American religious tradition to spur social change.’ He was baptized at the Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988 and was an active member there for two decades.”

Ayers is also not mentioned, even where relevant.

WND monitored as a Wikipedia user attempted to add Ayers’ name to an appropriate paragraph. One of those additions, backed up with news articles, read as follows:

“He served alongside former Weathermen leader William Ayers from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund the Developing Communities Project, and also from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Joyce Foundation. Obama served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995 to 2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995 to 1991. Ayers was the founder and director of the Challenge.”

Within two minutes that Wikipedia entry was deleted and the user banned from posting on the website for three days, purportedly for adding “Point of View junk edits,” even though the addition was well-established fact.”

The article goes on to mention that as you may suspect, the Wikipedia entry for George W. Bush is highly critical and chock full of negative information.

First the President personally attacked the conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. Shortly after taking office, Obama launched an unprovoked offensive against Limbaugh, telling Republican officials on Capitol Hill:

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.”

Then the White House press secretary Robert Gibbs personally attacked CNBC reporter Rick Santelli for calling out the shameful spending of the so-called Stimulus Bill. An act that has inspired a new Tea Party movement of dissent.

Gibbs went after Santelli on an eerily personal level saying:

“I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives…”

Now White House press secretary Robert Gibbs is personally attacking Jim Cramer of the Mad Money TV show for speaking out about the Obama administration’s destruction of American wealth. Cramer accurately pointed out that the Obama administration is acting like amateur hour. How does the Obama White House react? By attacking Jim Cramer of course! Robert Gibbs went after Cramer saying:

“I’m not entirely sure what he’s pointing to to make some of the statements,” said Gibbs. “And you can go back and look at any number of statements he’s made in the past about the economy and wonder where some of the back-up for those are too.”

So is this how it’s going to be for the next four years? Speak out against the Obama administration and the president releases the hounds?

Is this what Obama was talking about when he spoke of “change?”

Attack anyone who dissents on a personal level?

No wonder the media is in the tank for Obama. They must be scared shitless.

Last month, FOX News contributor and National Public Radio correspondent Juan Williams (an Obama supporter) was urged to stop using his NPR moniker when making appearances on the FOX Network’s program The O”Reilly Factor.

Apparently, the open minded folks who like NPR couldn’t handle Juan Williams making a minor criticism of Michelle Obama.

The management at NPR, an organization funded by taxpayers who are liberal and conservative, told Juan Williams to stop using his NPR credentials when making appearances on FOX News.

Tonight on The O’Reilly Factor, Juan spoke about his trip through liberal land and said that America’s left is vicious and more judgmental than the right. One has to wonder what kind of hate mail he received to make this statement:

More poisonous bile from Janeane Garofolo, the gift that keeps on giving. In the video below, she matches wits with Keith Olbermann who is all too gleeful to listen as she dishes opinions from her liberal, tolerant open mind. At 4:34 she actually refers to RNC Chairman Michael Steele as “that black guy in the Republican Party.” I wonder what the National Black Republican Association would say about that.

While the MSM is wetting itself making non-stop comparisons between Obama and Lincoln, one little detail has been neglected: Lincoln was a Republican.

From the White House website:

“In 1858 Lincoln ran against Stephen A. Douglas for Senator. He lost the election, but in debating with Douglas he gained a national reputation that won him the Republican nomination for President in 1860. As President, he built the Republican Party into a strong national organization. Further, he rallied most of the northern Democrats to the Union cause.”

Memo to the left: The Democrats have a history of racism and opposed the Civil Rights Acts of the 20th Century.

“As a matter of fact, the record shows that since 1933 Republicans had a more positive record on civil rights than the Democrats. In the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes.”

The National Black Republican Association knows this is true:

“Democrats who say they don’t care about civil rights history do so because they want to hide the Democratic Party’s racist past. Hypocritically, these same Democrats are quick to falsely accuse Republicans of being racist, while pontificating about why black Americans vote overwhelmingly for the Democratic Party—a party whose failed socialist policies have turned black communities into economic and social wastelands.”

Finally, Michael Steele, the new chairman of the Republican National Committee has something to say about Abraham Lincoln. He was an American hero and he was also… a Republican.

At his first presidential softball game press conference, Obama was asked a serious question by Major Garrett of FOX News. The question regarded Obama and Biden’s commitment to transparency.

How did Obama respond? He laughed at the question. Then the rest of the liberal media cronies laughed right on cue.

Obama then claimed he “didn’t remember” what Biden was talking about…. three days ago.

Obama has chosen a new person to head the office of Faith Based initiatives for the White House. His name is Joshua DuBois and he is a 26 year old Pentecostal pastor.

Let me repeat that. He is a Pentecostal pastor. The New York Times mentions this in the opening line of a recent article.

“President Obama plans to name Joshua DuBois, a 26-year-old Pentecostal pastor and political strategist who handled religious outreach for the Obama campaign, to direct a revamped office of faith based initiatives according to religious leaders who have been informed about the choice.”

This is a blatant double standard.

Consider this article from the Huffington Post in September 2008 titled “Palin’s Church May Have Shaped Controversial World View.”

“Speaking before the Pentecostal church, Palin painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord. Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right.”

The Huffington Post had a BIG problem with Sarah Palin suggesting that we should pray for American Troops. They were absolutely HORRIFIED that she was a Pentecostal.

The Huffington Post on Pentecostal Joshua DuBois three days ago? NO PROBLEM!

“In a speech Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Obama outlined how the new faith-based office under DuBois will be a departure from that of the Bush administration.”

So let’s break it down:

Palin + Pentecostal = Evil and scary.

DuBois + Pentecostal = Fine choice.

This is from a publication that wants to bring back the “Fairness Doctrine.”

The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds.

All Libertarian minded people should be offended by this double standard, regardless of their religious affiliation, agnosticism, or atheism.
