“Penn was traveling with Diana Jenkins: “Actually … it’s her plane … she’s married to the head honcho at Barclays bank,” TMZ added, noting the pair set out from Las Vegas on Saturday.”
“Barclays sources say Sean and Diana are going to meet (Fidel) Castro — presumably because that’s what Diana told them,” the website reported. Penn’s representative also told TMZ a meeting was possible.”

A handful of local town meeting officials in the western Massachusetts town of Amherst are actively campaigning to host a couple of GITMO detainees there. Funny thing is, at least one of them is also responsible for making sure that American flags don’t fly in downtown Amherst on the anniversary of 9/11.
Michael Graham reports in today’s Boston Herald:
“Selectman Diana Stein was uncertain about supporting the article, the Springfield Republican reported, until she realized her fear of the detainees had been “propagandized” into her. The other “yes” vote, Gerald Weiss, had no such qualms, saying the detainees were “suffering because of the U.S. government.”
“Music to the ears of Ruth F. Hooke, who wrote the article and says the detainees “sound like fine guys. They’d fit right in Amherst.”
“She should know. As a member of Town Meeting, Hooke supported resolutions calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush, the immediate withdrawal of all troops from Iraq and granting the right to vote to non-citizens.”
“What does Hooke oppose? Military action against Iran and the flying of American flags in downtown Amherst – on 9/11.”
“Read that again: Ruth Hooke wants released Guantanamo detainees roaming downtown Amherst next Sept. 11, but she opposes flying American flags to commemorate that horrific day.”
Hey middle America, meet Amherst, Massachusetts where the American flag is (to some) a “symbol of terrorism.”

“Sheriff’s investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m. About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.”
“A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform.”
“The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker’s pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles, who attended the rally.”
Now the only question is how the media will spin this into a story about “violent right wingers.”
MoveOn.org has issued a statement:
“We have seen press reports that indicate at one event in Southern California a regrettable act of violence happened. While we do not have any more facts about what happened then what we saw in press accounts, MoveOn condemns violence in all forms.”
In addition to teaching its members not to bite off other people’s body parts, someone at MoveOn might want to look up the difference between the words “then” and “than.”
Dan Savage is the editor of the alternative Seattle newspaper “The Stranger.” He is gay and he has been rightly critical of Obama’s lack of support for gay marriage.
However, in the following clip, as a guest on the Keith Olbermann show, he goes over the top. He claims that Republicans want Obama to get killed. This is outrageous on so many levels. Leave out the fact that Glenn Beck is a Libertarian, NOT a Republican. At least get your facts “straight” Dan. Furthermore, Conservatives Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Bachman have never called for violence against President Obama.
Conservatives respect and revere the office of the President, even if they disagree with the policies of the man who holds the office. There has NEVER been a case of a President of the United States killed by a Conservative.
In fact, EVERY single assault on the President of the United States has been perpetrated by a radical LEFTIST from John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald.
Maybe Dan Savage should spend a few minutes reading American history rather than trying to re-write it.
EXIT QUESTION: Who is it on the right who is trying to enforce religious views on anyone? Note to Dan Savage: The “Moral Majority” ended in the 1980’s.
The only person I know who is appealing to religious communities is OBAMA! It is Obama who is reaching out to religious leaders in an attempt to push his own agenda.

Last night I wrote about Maurice Schwenkler who vandalized a Democrat office in Colorado to make it look like the crime was committed by Conservative ObamaCare opponents.
Tonight we have learned that not only is Schwenkler definitely a “progressive activist” but that he is also a transgendered man, i.e. a person who is physically female but lives as a male. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
DENVER — The suspect arrested Tuesday morning on charges of smashing 11 windows at the state Democratic Party headquarters is a transgendered “Denver-based anarchist” who goes by the name “Ariel Attack,” according to postings on radical gay-rights websites. A fundraising plea circulated by the self-described “radical queer group” Denver Bash Back! seeks donations to raise the $5,000 bail set for 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, who is “listed in the jail records and media under her birth name.”
I couldn’t possibly care less about Maurice’s sexuality, to each his/her own. I am troubled by the radical anarchism, though. And hey, what’s up with giving Shakespeare’s “Ariel” a bad name, huh?
As usual, Michelle Malkin and Gateway Pundit are on the case and way ahead of the American Pravda…
Michelle cites a report which shows “Maurice” has a prior record, perhaps through participation in the terrorist group called the RNC Welcoming Committee.
“On the last day of the 2008 Republican National Convention, he was charged with misdemeanor unlawful assembly in St. Paul, Minn. Court records provided through the St. Paul Pioneer Press show he was jailed about 2 a.m.”
Gateway Pundit confirms:
“The young vandal who smashed windows at the DNC headquarters in Denver on Tuesday worked for a democratic politician, was paid by a SEIU-related front group, and was arrested at the RNC convention last year in St. Paul.”
