Fine Gold

Democrat Senator Russ Feingold is clinging by his fingernails to the land of rainbow shitting unicorns. The Hill Reports…

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) decried what he said was a “systematic, conscious” effort by groups to “destroy” President Obama. Feingold, who’s facing a tough reelection effort this fall, blamed coordinated opposition to Obama and the Democratic agenda in Congress for some of the political and electoral woes facing his party this fall.

Puhhlleeeaaase…….

Hat tip to Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit.

Liberals Are Going To Protest? Protest WHAT?

Protest the congress they’ve controlled since 2006?

Protest the White House they’ve controlled for almost two years?

What the hell are they protesting? Oh, I see. They’re going to protest the fact that they’re being protested…

Labor leaders, liberal religious leaders and the NAACP will hold a rally on the National Mall on October 2, one month before the fall midterm elections, in an attempt to show they too have political clout and momentum in response to last Saturday’s massive gathering of Tea Party types led by Fox News host Glenn Beck.

“The AFL-CIO is determined that the Tea Party and its corporate backers are not going to get the final word,” said AFL-CIO executive vice president Arlene Holt Baker. “We will expect tens of thousands of union families to come.”

“We are fueled by hope and not hate,” Holt Baker said.

Really? Well, let’s see… You hate Glenn Beck, you hate conservatives, you hate Republicans, you hate independents and libertarians who side with conservatives, you hate the tea party, you hate anyone who dares to criticize Obama, you hate opponents of ObamaCare and high taxes, feel free to stop me any time. When does the hope part kick in?

The obvious lesson here, for anyone who’s paying attention, is that this is all the left knows how to do. It’s all they have.

They can’t govern, they’re so afraid of offending everyone but average Americans that they’re terrible on defense, they’re awful on fiscal issues and they don’t even seem to realize that for now, they control everything.

If current trends continue and the GOP takes even just the house in November, expect  miles of headlines from liberal media outlets to the tune of “How We Blew It.”

They’ll still point blame at everyone but themselves but at least they’ll no longer have single party rule.

In the end, it will suit them better. At least they’ll have something legitimate to protest.

Schultz

Ed Schultz of MSNBC, that is…

Ed Schultz seems to think he could gather a crowd like Glenn Beck did last weekend. Uh huh. Sure you can Ed.

I bet you can fly too if you just shut your eyes and wish hard enough.

And by the way, I’m not suggesting Ed Schutlz is a nazi. I’m saying he’s a buffoon.

Newsweek Says Obama Is NOT The President

Newsweek’s new cover is an attempt at eye grabbing snark that contains an EPIC Fail.

It says Obama is terrorist-coddling, warmongering, Wall Street loving, socialistic, Godless, Muslim, President*

Then at the bottom of the page, the asterisk note says *who isn’t actually any of these things.

Obama is not the president, Newsweek?

Congrats to David Freddoso of the Washington Examiner for this hilarious catch.

Katie Couric: Obsolete. Partisan. Idiot.

Obsolete…

The network newscast ratings for last week are in and “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” tied its all-time low in total viewers with an average of 4.89 million tuning in during the five days.

The low was set last June, when ABC also hit its own low. (Ratings records date back to the 1991-’92 season.) Last week, NBC averaged 7.42 million total viewers and ABC averaged 6.51 million.

Partisan…

In raw footage of Katie Couric preparing an introduction for broadcast during the Republican national convention in 2008, the CBS anchor pokes fun at vice-president candidate Sarah Palin.

The footage was recorded shortly after [meaning the day] John McCain picked Palin as his running mate but the five-minute video clip was just posted on YouTube on Tuesday. [August 2010]

In the footage, Couric lists off Palin’s credentials, including hunting caribou, enjoying moose burgers, high school basketball player and a former beauty queen before interjecting, “You can’t make this up.”

After talking about two of Palin’s children – Trig and Track – she quips, “Where the hell do they get these names?”

Idiot…

Growing belief that Obama is a Muslim, although incorrect, is not the fault of the American People. Way to keep your finger on the pulse of the nation, Katie.

Defend This

If you’re a proponent of the Ground Zero mosque, I want you to listen to the newly discovered audio below of the Imam behind the proposed mosque and I want you to defend it.

Defend his suggestion that the United States is worse than Al Qaeda. Defend his use of the N word.

Defend it. I dare you.

Apparently Alan Grayson’s Thorazine Isn’t Covered By ObamaCare

Which is unfortunate because he was scheduled to make a recent appearance on MSNBC. The newly unmedicated Grayson said “Bush let 9/11 happen” and referred to the Ground Zero mosque as “a health club.”

I’m thinking someone might want to test the water in Grayson’s district for impurities. I can’t come up with any other explanation for how this man was ever elected to public office.

IRONY ALERT: Dems Think FOX News Should Have a Disclaimer

The Democratic Governors Association has its panties in a bunch because Rupert Murdoch’s company News Corp. gave one million dollars to the Republican Governors Association. CNN reports…

With the knowledge that Fox News’ parent company recently cut a $1 million check to the Republican Governors Association, the leader of the Democratic Governors Association is calling on the cable news network to run a “formal disclaimer” when it covers gubernatorial races. “I request that you add a formal disclaimer to your news coverage any time any of your programs cover governors or gubernatorial races between now and Election Day,” DGA executive director Nathan Daschle wrote in the letter to Roger Ailes.

My reaction in two words: SO WHAT?

As I’m sure the Democratic Governors Association is aware, so called “objective journalists” donated more money to Barack Obama than John McCain in the 2008 presidential election by a ratio greater than 10 to 1…

An analysis of federal election records shows that the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle favors Democrats by a 15:1 margin over Republicans, with $225,563 going to Democrats, only $16,298 to Republicans .

235 journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10:1. An even greater disparity, 20:1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10:1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709 to Republicans, a 14:1 ratio.

By those standards, maybe the news network truly in need of a disclaimer is every single one except FOX News.

Talk about an inconvenient truth.

Liberal Women Dress up as Bears to Make Palin Look Foolish

After all, how better to go after Sarah Palin than to don ridiculous looking bear costumes? Yeah, that’ll show America how ridiculous you are Palin is. Of course, the best part of this is the headline chosen by The Hill which reads “Liberal Group Launches Attack on Palin.”

Wow. Really? A liberal group is launching an attack on Sarah Palin? Boy, that’s news. I could have sworn that’s been ongoing since the instant John McCain announced her as his running mate two years ago. Dumb headlines aside, here’s how The Hill describes the situation…

Emily’s List President Stephanie Schriock detailed the group’s new “Sarah Doesn’t Speak for Me” campaign during an availability Tuesday morning at the National Press Club. The campaign is part of an effort to combat Palin’s effect in this fall’s elections and push back against her slate of candidates.

The campaign will center at first on a new website, which highlights some of the more controversial things Palin and her candidates have said during the election cycle.

“We created this campaign because we didnt want women across the country to think that there is only one voice for women, and we didn’t want Sarah Palin’s voice to go unchallenged,” Schriock said.

Good for you, Stephanie. Sarah Palin has had it way too easy in the media. It’s about time some liberal activists stood up and criticized the former governor. Great video, by the way. If the political activism thing doesn’t work out, you can always fall back on a career in furry fetishism.

The video is full of inaccuracies. Sarah Palin has never said she wants to take away a woman’s right to choose. Republicans have never tried to take away unemployment benefits, and on and on. But then, when have liberal activists ever let facts get in the way of their agenda?

New York Mayor Bloomberg Says Investigating Ground Zero Mosque is un-American

You may remember New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg from his insightful comments back in May, when he suggested the Times Square bombing attempt was probably done by someone who was opposed to ObamaCare.

Of course, we found out later it was Islamic terrorist wannabe, Faisal Shahzad.

Now that there are plans to build a giant mosque just steps from the site of the 9/11 attacks, Bloomberg the useful idiot is sharing his intelligence once more, by defending the idea.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says it would be un-American to investigate a mosque that is planned for construction near where the World Trade Center once stood.

Bloomberg was asked Monday about GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio’s demands last week that Democratic rival Andrew Cuomo investigate the mosque being developed near the Sept. 11 attack site.

The mayor has defended the mosque plans before. On Monday, he said investigating or vetting religious organizations goes against what the nation stands for.

Lazio has refused to say whether he opposes the mosque being built near the site. He said he is concerned that not enough is known about the funding sources.

HT to Dan Riehl.

Plans for the mosque to move forward face their “likely only” challenge in New York City tomorrow.
