Noted Genius Retracts Apology

You may recall a post I wrote about Levi Johnston back in July when he apologized to the Palin family for lying about them. Forget everything he said…

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin’s grandson, says he wishes he hadn’t apologized for telling lies about the former Alaska governor because he’s “never lied about anything.”

Johnston said in an interview on CBS’ “The Early Show” to air Friday that he wishes that he hadn’t issued the apology to Palin.

“I don’t really regret anything,” Johnston said, who has appeared nude on the cover of Playgirl. “But the only thing I wish I wouldn’t have done is put out that apology ’cause it kind of makes me sound like a liar. And I’ve never lied about anything. So that’s probably the only thing. The rest of the stuff I can live with.”

What will happen to Ricky Hollywood Levi Johnston when the leftist media no longer has any political use for him?

Two words: Rehab show.

IRONY ALERT: Dems Think FOX News Should Have a Disclaimer

The Democratic Governors Association has its panties in a bunch because Rupert Murdoch’s company News Corp. gave one million dollars to the Republican Governors Association. CNN reports…

With the knowledge that Fox News’ parent company recently cut a $1 million check to the Republican Governors Association, the leader of the Democratic Governors Association is calling on the cable news network to run a “formal disclaimer” when it covers gubernatorial races. “I request that you add a formal disclaimer to your news coverage any time any of your programs cover governors or gubernatorial races between now and Election Day,” DGA executive director Nathan Daschle wrote in the letter to Roger Ailes.

My reaction in two words: SO WHAT?

As I’m sure the Democratic Governors Association is aware, so called “objective journalists” donated more money to Barack Obama than John McCain in the 2008 presidential election by a ratio greater than 10 to 1…

An analysis of federal election records shows that the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle favors Democrats by a 15:1 margin over Republicans, with $225,563 going to Democrats, only $16,298 to Republicans .

235 journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10:1. An even greater disparity, 20:1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10:1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709 to Republicans, a 14:1 ratio.

By those standards, maybe the news network truly in need of a disclaimer is every single one except FOX News.

Talk about an inconvenient truth.

Violent Leftist Protesters Smash Windows at G20 Summit in Toronto

The American media wants you to believe this is what happens at Tea Parties. In fact, this only happens when anti-capitalism leftists stage a protest.

Obama’s friends Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn must be proud.

War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength, Obama Won’t Take Questions After Signing “Freedom of Press” Act

I have sometimes been asked why American Glob is no longer a parody news site. My answer is that if you pay attention to the real news, there’s no need for parody.

Here’s a perfect example:

Washington (CNN) – After the signing of the Freedom of Press Act on Monday, President Obama declined to take any questions from the press.

During a pooled press event in the Oval Office, President Obama was asked if he would take a couple questions.

“You’re certainly free to ask the question,” Obama told the reporters in the room. “I won’t be answering, I’m not doing a press conference today, but we’ll be seeing you in the course of the week.”

So far, Chip Reid of CBS News is the only member of the MSM that I’m aware of, who recognizes this for what it is…

There was some rich irony at the White House today — President Obama signed the Press Freedom Act, and then promptly refused to take any questions. [SNIP] He said he’s not holding a press conference today as we were escorted out the door.

Transparency!

Can We Start Calling the MSM the “Press Corpse” Now?

I mean, since President Obama is referring to a Navy man as a member of the “corpse”, why not? I’m betting Obama would never refer to the press corps as the press “corpse.”

Allahpundit at Hot Air does a good job explaining why this is resonating with many Obama critics.

Meet the Newest FOX News Analyst

Governor Sarah Palin.

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called “War Stories.”

Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

If Palin’s deal with FOX is for more than a few years, we can probably rule out a presidential run in 2012. That news would please some and disappoint others but one thing is for sure. We’re going to be seeing a lot more of Sarah Palin on TV.
