The Party Of Grab

Hey, have you heard that Obama and Nancy Pelosi have cost America more money in the last 19 months than the entire eight years of the Iraq war?

BigFurHat of iOwnTheWorld has expressed this sentiment visually with his wizardly photoshop skills.

Now, Who Was it Again Who’s Extreme?

A new video from the NRSC via Jim Geraghty and Allahpundit of Hot Air who smartly notes…

If the GOP convinces independents that the left holds them in contempt — or rather, I should say, if Democrats convince independents of that — they’ll take a beating of Biblical proportions.

Nancy Pelosi claims she’s a big fan of The Word. I wonder if she’s ever heard the story of Noah…

She certainly might want to begin preparing for a flood. An ever growing number of average Americans are looking forward to watching her hand the gavel to Speaker Boehner.

Satan Makes Rare Appearance on Capitol Hill

The unholy king of lies made a rare appearance on Capitol Hill recently when he was channeled by willing host, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. According to reports, Satan searched far and wide in DC for someone willing to help him twist God’s word before entering into an unclean union with the House Speaker.

Following her speech, Pelosi’s eyes rolled back in her head and she loudly declared “I am legion.” She then screamed at the crowd in an ancient tongue believed to be Aramaic for several minutes followed by a crawl around the house floor in a high speed crab-walk.

War

War is exactly what Obama, Pelosi and Reid have declared on the American people.

It’s so sickening to hear Nancy Pelosi continually proclaiming that they have done something for the American people.

We all know that they did something to the American people.

When the overwhelming evidence in poll after poll after poll indicated that the majority of people in America didn’t want their healthcare legislation, it is just further insult to say they did it “for” the people.

It is further insult that Senior Staffers who wrote the bill, are exempt from it.

We will vote some of you out this November.

We will vote the rest of you out in November of 2012.

We will do it peacefully but make no mistake. We are coming for you.

Obama And Democrats STILL Trying to Push Forward With ObamaCare

It’s amazing. They just refuse to let it die. It doesn’t matter what the vast majority of the American people say or do, the three headed monster known as Obama/Pelosi/Reid won’t listen.  They want to do what they want to do and the American people can go to hell.

The American people elected Christie and McDonnell, they ignored it. The American people elected Scott Brown, they ignored it. The town hall meetings, the protests, the tea parties, ignored ignored ignored. Rasmussen and Gallup polls show that Obama is in free fall and are promptly ignored.

Millions of people are still unemployed and some losing their homes as a result. All Obama cares about is what he views as his mandate.

President Barack Obama is putting forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year health care plan that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriated consumers.

Posted Monday morning on the White House Web site, the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit.

It conspicuously omits a government insurance plan sought by liberals.

But it’s uncertain that such an ambitions plan can pass, since Republicans are virtually all opposed and some Democrats who last year supported sweeping health care changes are having second thoughts. After a year in pursuit of his top domestic priority, Obama may have to settle for a modest fallback.

SNIP

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday he would participate, but insisted Obama and congressional Democrats would be wrong to push the bills they wrote in the House and Senate.

“The fundamental point I want to make is the arrogance of all of this. You know, they are saying: ‘Ignore the wishes of the American people. We know more about this than you do. And we’re going to jam it down your throats no matter what.’ That is why the public is so angry at this Congress and this administration over this issue,” said McConnell, R-Ky, speaking on “Fox News Sunday.”

The refusal of the White House to listen to the people is maddening. It reminds me of this classic old cartoon from The Electric Company. Give it a watch. The waitress is the American people and the customer is the Obama White House.

We Can’t Rush Into Healthcare Says…. Obama

If you had any doubts about the gravity of the election of Republican Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, you may abandon them now…

President Obama warned Democrats in Congress today not to “jam” a health care reform bill through now that they’ve lost their commanding majority in the Senate, and said they must wait for newly elected Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown to be sworn into office.

The president also said the same voter anger that swept him into office in 2008 carried Brown into office on a stunning upset victory Tuesday night over heavily favored Democrat Martha Coakley.

“Here’s my assessment of not just the vote in Massachusetts, but the mood around the country: the same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office,” the president said in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “People are angry and they are frustrated. Not just because of what’s happened in the last year or two years, but what’s happened over the last eight years.”

Brown defeated Coakley in the special election to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.

With his victory, Brown becomes the 41st Republican vote in the Senate — meaning Democrats have lost the 60 seat super-majority they need in the Senate to avoid a Republican filibuster.

Of course, President Obama isn’t the only Democrat currently doing a furious backstroke away from the jaws of the American electorate. The blood was in the water about 15 minutes after Brown declared victory last night when frightened politicians started ringing the emergency bell…

There are ways Democrats can jam through the current health care bill with procedural tricks or legislative creativity. But what seemed a certainty a week ago feels unlikely today. Don’t take the word of Republicans or even reporters on this one. Listen to what Democrats are saying as they appraised the results overnight:

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) told a local reporter, “It’s probably back to the drawing board on health care, which is unfortunate.” Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-Mass.) told MSNBC this morning he will advise Democratic leaders to scrap the big bill and move small, more popular pieces that can attract Republicans. And Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) said his leadership is “whistling past the graveyard” if they think Brown’s win won’t force a rethinking of the health care plan.

Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), who now might draw a challenge from Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), said the party needs to rethink its entire approach to governing.

I can’t wait to hear an update on Cap and Trade. And where does this leave Nancy Pelosi, who up until last night was still promising to rush Obamacare through the system no matter what?

House Speaker John Boehner has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Nancy Pelosi, You LIE!

How stupid does Nancy Pelosi think you are?

This stupid:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) defended Congress’ work on a healthcare bill Tuesday saying the process has displayed historic transparency, just as C-SPAN mounts an effort to open the negotiations.

C-SPAN wrote a letter to congressional leaders Tuesday asking that TV cameras be allowed to film negotiations to reconcile the House and Senate versions of healthcare reform legislation.

But Pelosi said Congress has already been transparent throughout the process.

“There has never been a more open process for any legislation,” Pelosi said at a press conference.

One has to marvel at Nancy Pelosi’s stunning ability to speak such unadulterated bullshit with a straight face.

Everyone knows that the crafting of the house and senate bills took place behind closed doors with no input from anyone but Democrats.

The American people know that both bills were passed on weekends when Democrats hoped no one was watching.

And finally, everyone remembers that Obama promised this process would be completely open and televised on C-SPAN which it wasn’t.

For Nancy Pelosi to stand there and claim otherwise is further proof that this administration and its cohorts in the house & senate are just doing what they want to do with no regard for public opinion.

It’s hard to decide which is more insulting, the fact that she’s lying or the credit she gives our intelligence.

ObamaCare Bribery Roundup!

Democrats

Harry Reid’s Bribes

“Setting aside the question of blatant public bribery – using taxpayer funds – it is clear that the “deal” that bought Senator Ben Nelson’s vote, and the earlier deal that bought Senator Mary Landrieu’s vote, are unequivocally unconstitutional,” Parson said from his home in Moapa, Nevada. Article IV Section 1 states that the: Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.”

Americans Should Look at Bribes in Health Bill

“Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, a Republican, says it appears there — are — enough votes for passage, unless the American people can build enough momentum through “irate” phone calls and e-mails over the next 48 hours to derail the measure.”

“Grassley says, “For the 61% of the people in this country that don’t want this, even after it’s passed the Senate, and I think the more the special interests like the ‘Nebraska bribe’ or the ‘Louisiana bribe’ are brought to the attention of the people, the more negative reaction there’s going to be.”

Bribery Evident in Health Care Votes

“I am so angry it is hard to express my thinking in a rational manner. In order to pass a bill that 60 percent of the American people do not want, our Senate leadership resorted to pure bribery. I should point out that in political terms, 60 percent is a landslide. First we are paying Mary Landrieu, D-La., $300 million for a second Louisiana Purchase to change her vote. That’s bribery. Now we are paying Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who knows how much for his vote. The bill requires all states to extend Medicaid coverage to everyone below 133 percent of the poverty level. That’s an unfunded mandate. After 2016 Nebraska is exempt from paying any additional costs. That’s bribery.”

Bribery in Congress?

“Sadly, certain House and Senate members have voluntarily elected to sell their dignity, their honor, their values, their commitments to their constituents, along with their Constitutional oaths of office, to the Congressional Leadership at “individually negotiated prices, while at the same time, selling out the vast majority of their constituents.”

Bribery in Washington

“It used to be that if you bribed a senator for his vote, you were tried and jailed. Now, as evidenced by Ben Nelson of Nebraska, senators and the White House are bribing senators. See what our country has come to in less than a year under this president and the Democrats in charge. There is nothing they won’t do to get what they want, and the rest of us be damned.”

Where is Our Bribe?

“Something astounding happened this year, for the second year in a row.  Last year the Republicans gave themselves $140 billion in bribes – of our money – to pass legislation which most Americans were against. Yesterday, the Democrats, with Harry Reid at the helm, gave away more of our money in exchange for a vote for the new health care bill – for our sake of course.”

Stupak: My Party’s Trying to Bribe Me

“After watching the Senate’s health-care debate, Rep. Bart Stupak (D., Mich.) tells NRO that he has one message for President Obama and House speaker Nancy Pelosi: “You don’t buy me off.” Stupak tells us that he’s disappointed that Democratic leaders have offered him legislative favors in exchange for supporting Obamacare.”
