BREAKING May 4th at 2 am: Times Square Bombing Suspect Arrested UPDATE: Suspect Named Faisal Shahzad

A US Citizen from Pakistan has been arrested for the attempted bombing in Times Square.

Via the Washington Post:

A man was arrested late Monday night in connection with the failed Times Square bombing, administration officials said. The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old U.S. citizen from Pakistan, allegedly purchased the sport utility vehicle that authorities found packed with explosives in New York on Saturday night.

Authorities became aware of his identity Monday afternoon. He was arrested just after 11 p.m. by Customs and Border Protection agents at JFK International Airport. Shahzad’s flight to Dubai had left the gate and was headed toward the runway when authorities discovered that he was on board and wanted. He was removed from the plane and taken into custody, an official said.

Officials were reluctant to discuss Shahzad’s potential ties to foreign extremists — or his travel abroad — except to say that they believed he was fleeing the country at the time of his arrest. They did not immediately announce the charges against him or say where he was being held.

UPDATE: The suspect’s name is Faisal Shahzad.

The FBI has arrested a 30-year old Bridgeport, Connecticut man in connection with the failed attempt to set off a car bomb in New York’s Times Square, federal authorities told ABCNews.com late Monday night.

The man was identified as Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen, who had recently returned from a five month trip to Pakistan and the city of Peshawar, a known jumping off points for al Qaeda and Taliban recruits.

Shahzad was arrested at Kennedy airport in New York City where FBI agents said he was attempting to leave the country to go to Dubai.

Have You Heard The One About The Farmer’s Daughter?

Three traveling terrorists approach a farmhouse and demand food and lodging from the farmer. The farmer says no, causing the terrorists to attack him. The farmer's daughter jumps out from under a bed, hacks one of them with an axe, disarms him and then goes postal with his AK47.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before…

Three traveling terrorists approach a farmhouse and demand food and lodging from the farmer. The farmer says no, causing the terrorists to attack him.

The farmer’s daughter jumps out from under a bed, hacks one of them with an axe, disarms him and then goes postal with his AK47.

Gotta love those farmers’ daughters…

“Rukhsana Kausar, 21, was with her parents and brother in Jammu and Kashmir when three gunmen, believed to be Pakistani militants, forced their way in and demanded food and beds for the night.”

“When they forced their way into Miss Kausar’s home, her father Noor Mohammad refused their demands and was attacked.”

“His daughter was hiding under a bed when she heard him crying as the gunmen thrashed him with sticks. According to police, she ran towards her father’s attacker and struck him with an axe. As he collapsed, she snatched his AK47 and shot him dead.”

“She also shot and wounded another militant as he made his escape.”

“Police have hailed the woman’s bravery.”

Good for her.

The police were right to praise her bravery.

It’s a good thing Miss Kausar wasn’t attacked by a European film director. Otherwise, Hollywood elites and the Washington Post would probably blame her for encouraging the attack.

Paging the Insane Bitches of Code Pink…

Obama’s dropping bombs on Pakistan and Times Online has a few things to say about it.

“Missiles fired from suspected US drones killed at least 15 people inside Pakistan today, the first such strikes since Barack Obama became president and a clear sign that the controversial military policy begun by George W Bush has not changed.”

“…….locals also said that three children lost their lives.”

So what’s it going to be this time Code Pink?

Will you sneak into a hearing and assault Obama with fake blood on your hands?

Or will you create a giant Obama effigy and throw shoes at it?

Certainly, you’ll hold President Obama to the same standards by which you judged the Bush Administration.  Surely, your criticisms weren’t based solely on partisanship.

America waits eagerly to see your newest protest.
