Liberals Are Going To Protest? Protest WHAT?

Protest the congress they’ve controlled since 2006?

Protest the White House they’ve controlled for almost two years?

What the hell are they protesting? Oh, I see. They’re going to protest the fact that they’re being protested…

Labor leaders, liberal religious leaders and the NAACP will hold a rally on the National Mall on October 2, one month before the fall midterm elections, in an attempt to show they too have political clout and momentum in response to last Saturday’s massive gathering of Tea Party types led by Fox News host Glenn Beck.

“The AFL-CIO is determined that the Tea Party and its corporate backers are not going to get the final word,” said AFL-CIO executive vice president Arlene Holt Baker. “We will expect tens of thousands of union families to come.”

“We are fueled by hope and not hate,” Holt Baker said.

Really? Well, let’s see… You hate Glenn Beck, you hate conservatives, you hate Republicans, you hate independents and libertarians who side with conservatives, you hate the tea party, you hate anyone who dares to criticize Obama, you hate opponents of ObamaCare and high taxes, feel free to stop me any time. When does the hope part kick in?

The obvious lesson here, for anyone who’s paying attention, is that this is all the left knows how to do. It’s all they have.

They can’t govern, they’re so afraid of offending everyone but average Americans that they’re terrible on defense, they’re awful on fiscal issues and they don’t even seem to realize that for now, they control everything.

If current trends continue and the GOP takes even just the house in November, expect  miles of headlines from liberal media outlets to the tune of “How We Blew It.”

They’ll still point blame at everyone but themselves but at least they’ll no longer have single party rule.

In the end, it will suit them better. At least they’ll have something legitimate to protest.

The Party Of Grab

Hey, have you heard that Obama and Nancy Pelosi have cost America more money in the last 19 months than the entire eight years of the Iraq war?

BigFurHat of iOwnTheWorld has expressed this sentiment visually with his wizardly photoshop skills.

CAUGHT. United States Secretary Of Education To Employees: Please Go To Al Sharpton’s Anti-Glenn Beck Rally

Obama said in his own words Sunday said that he paid no attention to Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally in DC.

Did you believe him?

I wasn’t sure until I read this bombshell from the Washington Examiner which exposes an email from Arne Duncan, the United States Secretary of Education to his staff, urging them to attend Al Sharpton’s counter event. Do you still think Obama was ignoring Beck’s event?

President Obama’s top education official urged government employees to attend a rally that the Rev. Al Sharpton organized to counter a larger conservative event on the Mall.

“ED staff are invited to join Secretary Arne Duncan, the Reverend Al Sharpton, and other leaders on Saturday, Aug. 28, for the ‘Reclaim the Dream’ rally and march,” began an internal e-mail sent to more than 4,000 employees of the Department of Education on Wednesday.

Sharpton created the event after Glenn Beck announced a massive Tea Party “Restoring Honor” rally at the Lincoln Memorial, where King spoke in 1963.

The Washington Examiner learned of the e-mail from a Department of Education employee who felt uncomfortable with Duncan’s request.

I don’t blame the employee for feeling uncomfortable. Can you imagine if you were an MSNBC watching liberal and your boss sent you an email urging you to attend Glenn Beck’s event? How would you feel?

No depth of manipulation seems to be too low for Obama and the crowd of Chicago corruptocrats surrounding him.

They employ tactics which are much worse than anything their supporters railed loudly against under the George W. Bush administration.

Hat tips to ZIP and Matt Drudge.

Remember When Democrats Recently Said FOX News Should Come With A Disclaimer?

Back on August 19th, the Democratic Governors Association said FOX News should come with a disclaimer because their parent company gave one million dollars to the Republican Governors Association.

Based on their criteria I have to wonder if every other news outlet in America should also come with a disclaimer….

Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008, according to an analysis by The Examiner of data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880.

By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863. The average Republican contribution was $744.

Disclosure of the heavily Democratic contributions by influential employees of the three major broadcast networks follows on the heels of controversy last week when it was learned that media baron Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. contributed $1 million to the Republican Governors Association.

Liberal Women Dress up as Bears to Make Palin Look Foolish

After all, how better to go after Sarah Palin than to don ridiculous looking bear costumes? Yeah, that’ll show America how ridiculous you are Palin is. Of course, the best part of this is the headline chosen by The Hill which reads “Liberal Group Launches Attack on Palin.”

Wow. Really? A liberal group is launching an attack on Sarah Palin? Boy, that’s news. I could have sworn that’s been ongoing since the instant John McCain announced her as his running mate two years ago. Dumb headlines aside, here’s how The Hill describes the situation…

Emily’s List President Stephanie Schriock detailed the group’s new “Sarah Doesn’t Speak for Me” campaign during an availability Tuesday morning at the National Press Club. The campaign is part of an effort to combat Palin’s effect in this fall’s elections and push back against her slate of candidates.

The campaign will center at first on a new website, which highlights some of the more controversial things Palin and her candidates have said during the election cycle.

“We created this campaign because we didnt want women across the country to think that there is only one voice for women, and we didn’t want Sarah Palin’s voice to go unchallenged,” Schriock said.

Good for you, Stephanie. Sarah Palin has had it way too easy in the media. It’s about time some liberal activists stood up and criticized the former governor. Great video, by the way. If the political activism thing doesn’t work out, you can always fall back on a career in furry fetishism.

The video is full of inaccuracies. Sarah Palin has never said she wants to take away a woman’s right to choose. Republicans have never tried to take away unemployment benefits, and on and on. But then, when have liberal activists ever let facts get in the way of their agenda?

Will Progressives Defend Glenn Beck’s Religious Rights as Aggressively as They Defended the Ground Zero Mosque?

Probably not, but it’s a question worth asking.

Glenn Beck rented the Kennedy Center in New York for an event and was told by the center that prayer is not allowed. The Kennedy Center eventually relented but that doesn’t change their knee-jerk anti-Christian reaction.

In the video below, Glenn Beck explains what happened. Via The Right Scoop who notes…

This is unbelievable. Beck says that even though they rented the Kennedy Center for use on 8/27, they were told that they could not pray in the facility. That is beyond shocking. Apparently they finally relented, but I’m guessing that it’s only because of who he is. Had it been you or me, we’d probably be in handcuffs after we disobeyed and prayed anyway.

But I would like to remind you that the President can still have a Ramadan dinner at the White House.

I look forward to reading all the liberal blogs as they defend Glenn Beck’s rights to practice his religion despite the obvious bigotry and narrow mindedness of the Kennedy Center. You know, everything they’ve said about anyone who opposes the Ground Zero mosque.

Obama’s Birthday is Coming up, Anyone Have $30,000 to Spare?

I don’t want to spend $30,000 on a gift for the president, I only want to go to the party.

Thirty grand just gets me in the door…

$$$$$: Happy Birthday, buddy!

Sneed hears real estate mogul Neil Bluhm is tossing a private birthday party here for President Obama, who turns 49 on Aug. 4.

The shocker: The dinner invite to the Barack bash at Bluhm’s home requires a $30,000 donation to the Democratic National Committee!

Come to think of it, I’m probably going to need $40,000. After all, I’m going to need to eat at some point.

See the DONATE button at the top right to give me tens of thousands of dollars.

All joking aside, I could really use your tip of any size.

Thanks.

Liberal Activists At Nutroots Nation Give Standing Ovation to 9/11 Truther

Because among liberals, who is more deserving of a standing ovation than… Van Jones?

LAS VEGAS — Van Jones, the former Obama “green jobs czar” who was forced to resign after it was revealed that he signed a petition calling for an investigation into whether the Bush administration deliberately allowed the Sept. 11 attacks to happen, was given a standing ovation by liberal activists here at the Netroots Nation conference.

In a video introduction, former DNC chairman Howard Dean called Jones a “hero.”
