Scozzafava Enters Crosshairs of RINO Hunters

Dede ScozzafavaWhat happens when you pretend to be a Republican and then ruin everything for Republicans by endorsing a Democrat?

This happens:

“Dede Scozzafava, the Republican nominee who issued an election eve endorsement of Democrat Bill Owens in the Nov. 3 New York special election, will meet with Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb Monday to discuss whether she will be stripped of her Assembly leadership position.”

“POLITICO has learned that Kolb will announce after the face-to-face meeting whether Scozzafava, the Minority Leader Pro Tempore, will remain as the GOP floor leader.”

“Fundamentally my members are very disappointed with her endorsement of Bill Owens and aiding him in helping achieve the Nancy Pelosi health care plan in Washington,” Kolb said.”

Hardly a surprise, considering that the Democrat candidate Scozzafava endorsed (Bill Owens) broke FOUR campaign promises within ONE hour of taking office…

“Owens indicated in a press release that he was now in favor of the [Pelosi/ObamaCare] bill in direct contrast to his earlier position during his campaign.”

“During his campaign for Congress, Mr. Owens assured voters that he felt the public option had no place in the health care reform bill. Contrary to that position, Mr. Owens now indicates that he intends to vote in favor of the bill even though it now contains a public option.”

“Owens also promised to vote against cutting Medicare benefits, taxing health care benefits, and increased taxes on the middle class. All of those are “features of the House bill.”

Dede Scozzafava was rejected by conservatives because it was obvious that her election would ultimately provide support for Nancy Pelosi and ObamaCare.

Her endorsement of Bill Owens proved every suspicion about her was correct and in the end, she was able to help the Pelosi/Obama agenda and further their cause.

In the future, maybe the GOP should avoid candidates endorsed by the Daily KOS.

Dede Scozzafava Proves We Were All Right About Her

By doing exactly what we all said she would do if elected: Siding with the Democrats.

“In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first.”

“Please join me in voting for Bill Owens on Tuesday. To address the tough challenges ahead, we must rise above partisanship and politics and work together. There’s too much at stake in this election to do otherwise.”

She dropped out of the NY-23 congressional race for congress two days ago and she’s already backing the Democrat candidate to win against Conservative Doug Hoffman who would caucus with Republicans.

She does this after the Republican Party spent almost a million dollars trying to get her elected as a Republican.

This is what conservatives knew she would do and this is why they rejected her. Conservatives were right about her all along.

Marco Rubio: RINO Hunter

Marco Rubio who is running for United States Senate in Florida is a for real, unapologetic conservative. His rival for the Republican nomination is known RINO, Charlie Crist. In the following clip, Rubio explains his advantages and answers some questions on healthcare reform.

This guy has the words “future presidential contender” written all over his face.

Dan McLaughlin at RedState.com has a great piece on Rubio, citing his favorable polling over Crist.

Does The GOP Have Internet Access???

I ask this question based on a legitimate concern.

Republican leaders continue to back the ACORN/Daily KOS endorsed Dede Scozzafava while fretting over Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman in the New York 23 congressional race.

Establishment Republicans, including Newt Gingrich, are puzzled by the excitement over Doug Hoffman and the endorsement of his campaign by figures like Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty.

Politico reports:

“A senior GOP strategist, granted anonymity in order to speak candidly, lamented that in endorsing Hoffman, the contenders had delivered to the White House an early victory in their efforts to brand the Republican Party as dominated by its conservative wing.”

Conservative wing? Conservative wing???

Hello???

Gallup reported today that Conservatives are the dominant ideological group in America.

Since when is the majority a “wing?”

“Changes among political independents appear to be the main reason the percentage of conservatives has increased nationally over the past year: the 35% of independents describing their views as conservative in 2009 is up from 29% in 2008.”

Conservatives 2009

Did the GOP miss the last six months? Did the party leaders not see the Tea Parties, the town hall meetings or the national outrage over ACORN? Have you been sitting in a dark room with your ears plugged?

Here’s a newsflash for the GOP from a libertarian who wants to vote Republican.

1. You don’t need to re-brand the party.

2. If you run a candidate with ANY connection to ACORN, SEIU, or any corrupt affiliate thereof, he or she will LOSE.

3. Run genuine Conservative candidates and you’ll win.

In the mean time I have just one final suggestion.

Buy a computer and check out “the internet.”

RINO Candidate in New York Calls Cops on Weekly Standard Reporter

Do you need any further proof that Dede Scozzafava is a weak, nanny state RINO?

Here you go!

“Tonight, Dede Scozzafava, the Republican candidate for the November 3 special election in the 23rd congressional district, spoke to about 100 Republicans at the Lewis County GOP dinner at the Elks Lodge 1605. After a dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing, Scozzafava fended off criticism that she wasn’t as conservative as third-party candidate Doug Hoffman and urged her supporters to vote for her in order to keep her Democratic opponent Bill Owens from serving as a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama’s agenda in Washington. It was a fairly typical evening–until the speech ended and someone with Scozzafava’s campaign called the police. On me.”

“Earlier today Lindsay Beyerstein reported that Scozzafava responded to an AFL-CIO questionnaire by saying she would support card-check legislation that eliminates the secret ballot requirement for organizing unions. As Beyerstein notes, this contradict statements made by a Scozzafava spokesman in September.”

“So after the dinner, I asked Assemblywoman Scozzafava if she supports card check. “Yes, yes I do,” she replied.”

“At that point someone from her campaign placed himself between Scozzafava and me and told me I should direct all my inquires to the campaign’s spokesman. I nonetheless asked Scozzafava if her signing of the Americans for Tax Reform pledge not to vote to raise taxes means she would oppose any health care bill that raises taxes. “What kind of taxes?” she replied. Then another couple of gentlemen interposed themselves between Scozzafava and me as Scozzafava headed for the door.”

“I spotted Scozzafava later as she was walking to the parking lot, and asked her: ” Assemblywoman, do you believe that the health-care bill should exclude coverage for abortion?” She didn’t reply. I asked her twice more. Silence.”

“After she got into her car, I went to my car and fired up my laptop to report the evening’s events.”

“Minutes later a police car drove into the parking lot with its lights flashing.”

If John McCormack of the Weekly Standard, armed with a press pass, can’t ask Dede Scozzafava a question in good faith, how do you think she would react to a tea party crowd outside her office?

Send money to the real conservative candidate, Doug Hoffman.

Right now.

Why is Olympia Snowe a Republican?

I mean really… If she is going to vote with Democrats on the Porkulus and ObamaCare, why is she a Republican?

Robert Stacy McCain answers my question. She’s not…

“I’d call her ugly names, but what name could possibly be uglier than “Olympia Snowe,” a synonym for everything unprincipled, selfish, dishonest and loathsome in American politics today? A name that ranks with that of the despicable John Cornyn in defining the utter worthlessness of Republican “leadership” in Washington.”

“For years, the national GOP has funneled money into the campaign coffers of two-faced RINO weasels like Snowe, Arlen Specter, Lincoln Chafee, et al., claiming that the existence of such fake Republicans provides some benefit to the party in general.”

“Exactly what this benefit is, no one has ever explained, since all these gutless wonders ever do is suck up money and whine, whine, whine — and then stab the party in the back whenever a key vote comes up.”

Read it all…

The AP reinforces Stacy’s argument by reminding us how much liberals love “mavericky” Republicans. You know, the kind that aren’t conservatives and don’t excite conservative voters…

“WASHINGTON (AP) – Forget Sarah Palin. The female maverick of the Republican Party is Sen. Olympia Snowe.”

“Breaking with her party is a role Snowe has played many times, from her vote for Obama’s $787 billion economic stimulus bill to her defiance of then-President George W. Bush on a bill to provide health are to millions of uninsured children.”

“Snowe also was one of the “Gang of 14″ Democratic and Republican senators who resolved a standoff over judicial nominations.”

Olympia Snowe is just the type of Republican liberals would love to run against in 2012 or 2016.

I’m sure the AP would just love it if everyone forgot about Sarah Palin.

And certainly everyone knows The Washington Monthly is looking out for the best interests of Conservatives.

Thank goodness Conservatives have all these liberals looking out for us.

Liberals Can’t Handle Dissent

Dissent under George W. Bush = Patriotism.

Dissent under Barack H. Obama = The uneducated, unruly, and unwashed masses.

Everything you need to know about Liberals is summed up in the following report from The Politico.

How dare the American people show up at public meetings to make themselves heard…

“Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress.”

“On the eve of the August recess, members are reporting meetings that have gone terribly awry, marked by angry, sign-carrying mobs and disruptive behavior. In at least one case, a congressman has stopped holding town hall events because the situation has spiraled so far out of control.”

The situation has spiraled out of control… in Washington, DC.

Which is exactly why a lot of angry people are showing up at town hall events around the country. That’s not the fault of the American people. It’s the fault of their non-representatives who fully deserve the wrath of their disgusted constituents.

Liberal Democrats and Liberal Republicans have invited the negative feedback they will receive from their constituents in the August recess of 2009.

Why? Stimulus. Cap and Trade. ObamaCare. Etc.

If they can’t handle the criticism, and they probably can’t, they should be voted out of office as quickly as possible.

2010 can’t come soon enough.
