And he’s leading an offensive against U.S. Marines. The word that comes to mind is …DUH!

“A former Guantanamo Bay inmate is leading the fight against U.S. Marines in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, a senior U.S. defense official confirmed to FOX News on Tuesday.”

“Mullah Zakir, also known as Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, surrendered in Mazar-e-Sharif in Northern Afghanistan in 2001, and was transferred to Gitmo in 2006. He was released in late 2007 to Afghan custody.”

Now to be fair, the detainee in question was released on Bush’s watch. However, in the interests of being totally fair…Obama wants to release MORE of these guys.

In fact, Obama supporters have been clamoring for the release of these guys since he was sworn in.

“Obama, a constitutional lawyer, will need to proceed carefully as he dismantles the chamber of physical and legal horrors built by the Bush White House. He’s right to begin the demolition work right away.”

How does it make sense to release GITMO detainees when it has been proven over and over again that they go right back to attacking the United States?

“Mohammed Ismail was released from the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in early 2004 and sent back to Afghanistan to be set free.”

“Within four months, the U.S. military said, he was recaptured in Afghanistan attacking U.S. troops there, with paperwork on him that said he was a Taliban in good standing.”

“He is just one of 74 former Guantanamo Bay detainees who the military says were active in, or were suspected of being active in, fighting against the United States or committing terrorist acts after being released.”

Why stop at releasing these guys? Let’s just hand them weapons, turn our backs and kneel down.

It’s faster, cheaper and there’s no pretense involved.

Okaaaayyyy…….

So President Obama and the Democrat party declared war on Rush Limbaugh. They’re even holding a contest on which anti-Rush slogan to use on a billboard.

All this while the US economy tanks and Americans lose jobs and wealth.

But now that they’ve demonized Rush Limbaugh, they’re reaching out to make friends with terrorists. The New York Times writes Obama Ponders Outreach to Elements of Taliban.

“President Obama declared in an interview that the United States was not winning the war in Afghanistan and opened the door to a reconciliation process in which the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the Taliban much as it did with Sunni militias in Iraq.”

So while Obama and the Democrats use one hand to smack down American citizens with whom they disagree, they use the other hand to reach out to terrorists.

While they’re using the Stimulus Bill to steal from taxpaying Americans, they’re trying to create friendships with our enemies.

And by the way… Which members of the Taliban would be considered “moderates?” The ones who think girls caught learning to read should be lashed instead of stoned to death?

Is there such a thing as “moderate” Sharia Law?

Isn’t that like saying you’re just a little pregnant?
