Neiwert has had his panties in a twist since last fall when Sarah Palin brought up Obama’s association to Bill Ayers and he’s still angry about it.
He has tried to point out that there are right wing domestic terrorists, which is true. Eric Rudolph and Timothy McVeigh are the examples Neiwert has used most frequently.
“Bill Ayers, co-founder of the radical anti-war Weather Underground protest group, is coming to Purdue University on Sept. 24 to participate in an educational forum.”
“Ayers, 64, is a distinguished professor of education and senior university scholar at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He will speak on “Inequality and Education: The Challenge for Urban Schools” at the inaugural Cummings-Perrucci Annual Lecture on Class, Race and Gender Equality.”
We have been unable to confirm whether or not Ayers plans to blow up any buildings as part of his visit to the university.
VIDEO UPDATE: Here is Charles Krauthammer on Van Jones and Bill Ayers.
"Transparency" was another LIE from Obama. He was/is friends with Bill Ayers. He was/is sympathetic to The Weather Underground. We are witnessing an American coup by the radical left.
Quick, where’s my bullshit detector?
Remember last fall when Obama and his supporters swore up and down that Obama had no knowledge of the terrorist roots of Weather Underground founder, Bill Ayers? That’s him in the picture at left standing on an American flag.
“WASHINGTON – Barack Obama’s top political adviser said today Obama “didn’t know the history” of unrepentant bomber William Ayers’ activities in the violent Weather Underground movement when the candidate attended a political event at Ayers’ home in 1995.”
“When he went he certainly didn’t know the history,” chief Obama strategist David Axelrod told CNN – arguing for the first time since the story surfaced early this year that Obama was unaware of Ayers’ past.”
“There’s no evidence that they’re close,” Axelrod added.”
Welcome to weird coincidence land! Turns out a buddy of Bill Ayers named Jeff Jones who was also the co-founder of the Weather Underground is now on the board of the Apollo Alliance, a radical lefty group that helped to draft the $787 BILLION dollar Stimulus Bill.
“Could it be that the 1,200-page American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill, written prior to Obama’s inauguration, is actually cribbed from the Apollo Economic Recovery Act? If so, does that also hold true for the administration’s cap and trade energy bill, which has already passed in the House?”
“WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is declining to release documents that would identify visitors to the White House, embracing a legal position taken by the Bush administration, according to a watchdog group that filed a federal lawsuit over access to the records.”
“The group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, filed its lawsuit after being denied access to Secret Service records, including White House entry and exit logs, that would identify coal and energy industry visitors.”
“The government’s refusal to release the records contrasts with President Obama’s pledge of transparency.”
“Transparency” was another LIE from Obama. He was/is friends with Bill Ayers. He was/is sympathetic to The Weather Underground. We are witnessing an American coup by the radical left.
These are the very people who are attacking Glenn Beck for exposing them. What a dark day for America when the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist organization, has the ear of the American President and is authoring legislation to be paid for by the American people. It’s sickening.
Political violence is and always has been the hallmark of the left, Josh. Own it.
Josh Marshall, the leftist who founded Talking Points Memo, is writing lies about Conservatives. He’s pushing the idea that Conservatives are all fringe nuts who are violent.
“As we track the escalating number of incidents of right-wing fringers bringing guns to Obama events or other health create town hall events, we are, unsurprisingly, seeing various conservative websites mocking the public concern. “Oh, those Dems, they go all wobbly just because a few upstanding citizens show up with legal firearms.” Call it the new girly-manism, it’s a sign that Democrats are so many political panty-waists because they’ve never seen the gun culture up close or just get easily rattled.”
“But let’s be honest about what this is about. The right — the modern American right — has a very troubled history with political violence. The ideological pattern is clear going back at least thirty years and arguably far longer. A simple review of the 1990s, particularly 1993, 1994, culminating in many respects in the tragic 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal building in April 1995 tells the tale. Mix in the militias, the thankfully inept attempt on President Clinton’s life a few months before Oklahoma City Francisco Duran and it’s all really not a pretty picture.”
Has Josh been alseep for the last 50 years? I’ll give him Tim McVeigh. McVeigh was a right wing nutbag and what he did was unforgiveable.
HOWEVER, when it comes to violent fringe nutbags, the left has always cornered the market.
Look no further than President Obama’s pal Bill Ayers and his terrorist group The Weather Underground. Here’s a man who committed numerous acts of appalling violence against the United States. Lucky for Billy, he came from a family of influence which made it possible for him to avoid any jail time. He now holds a cushy job as an “Education Professor” at a state run university in Illinois.
I would also remind Josh that Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin who killed Kennedy was a self avowed lefty whack job as was Sirhan Sirhan, the man who killed Robert Kennedy.
Congratulations to Senator Larry Bomke (R) of Illinois. It’s about f@#king time someone suggested this.
“State Sen. Larry Bomke, a Springfield-area Republican, wants Ayers removed from his university post under a proposal that says anyone who has committed an act of violence against the governments of the United States or Illinois cannot work at a public university.”
Amen brother.
Ayers has been trying to rewrite history since the election with help from the liberal media who frequently refer to him as a mainstream education reformer.
The unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers had a speaking engagement at Florida State University recently where some students took umbrage with his presence.
One attendee remarked, “They’re saying that over here is a free speech zone, but I was raised that America is a free speech zone.”
Ayers is the well known founder of the domestic terrorist organization The Weather Underground and is also known for helping to launch the political career of our current president elect at a gathering in his Chicago living room, a report that Obama denies in spite of Ayers’ own admission of the fact.
Michelle Malkin has a post on her blog today that tells a very different story of how Berkeley protesters were handled when she and another conservative speaker were invited to speak.
Best part of the story? Ayers, considered by many to be an enemy of the state, was paid $5,000 for his appearance. Since FSU is a state school, that means the taxpayers footed the bill.
The Huffington Post has given Bill Ayers a blog. Wow, there’s a shocker!
The HuffPo even gave him his own BIO section which I’ve copied below. See if you can spot anything that’s missing.
“William Ayers, Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and founder of both the Small Schools Workshop and the Center for Youth and Society, teaches courses in interpretive and qualitative research, urban school change, and teaching and the modern predicament. A graduate of the University of Michigan, the Bank Street College of Education, Bennington College, and Teachers College, Columbia University, Ayers has written extensively about social justice, democracy and education, the cultural contexts of schooling, and teaching as an essentially intellectual, ethical, and political enterprise. He is vice-president of the curriculum division of the American Educational Research Association, and a member of the executive committee of the UIC Faculty Senate.
Ayers’ articles have appeared in many journals including the Harvard Educational Review, the Journal of Teacher Education, Teachers College Record, Rethinking Schools, The Nation, Educational Leadership, the New York Times and the Cambridge Journal of Education.
His books include A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court (Beacon Press, 1997), Fugitive Days: A Memoir (Beacon Press, 2001, 2008), The Good Preschool Teacher: Six Teachers Reflect on Their Lives, (Teachers College Press, 1989), and To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher, (Teachers College Press, 1993) which was named Book of the Year in 1993 by Kappa Delta Pi, and won the Witten Award for Distinguished Work in Biography and Autobiography in 1995.
He lives in Hyde Park, Chicago with his wife, Bernardine Dohrn.”
Fascinating read, huh? I found a few key names that were missing. For instance there was:
You’ll also find comments from HuffPo’s idiotic readers on how great Bill Ayers really is.
Note: These are real comments.
Here’s one…
“Great article Prof. Ayers. And welcome back to polite society. Your vision and idealism is a rare breath of fresh air as always.”
Another one:
“That was such an articulate and refreshing post. It was a joy to read and I agreed with all of the points made. I am looking forward to more of Mr. Ayers post’s on Huffpo as this article was compelling to read.”
What about this one?
“The villification of Bill Ayers was beyond reprehensible but at least now we get to hear from this learned educator. This article speaks truth re: the educational system as it is in this country today.”
The “vilification” of Bill Ayers? Are these people on crack?
I know the media helped to keep the public in the dark on Ayers’ real record but the fact that Ayers has been given a voice by the NY Times and now the HuffPo prove that the majority of Americans really have no idea who he is or what he’s done in the past.
If most Americans knew the truth about William Ayers, Bernadine Dorhn and the Weather Underground, we wouldn’t be reading their words in op-eds and blogs. We’d be petitioning congress to throw them in jail.
