Obama Administration to Announce Attack on “Fraud”

Democrats are going after fraud? What are they going to do, investigate themselves?

Democrats are going after fraud? What are they going to do, investigate themselves?

From the department of laughable via Politico:

“The Obama administration on Tuesday will announce “a sustained, multilevel attack on financial fraud,” including mortgage rip-offs, a senior administration official said.”

“The crackdown will range “from executives who illegally profited on Wall Street, to the bad actors still targeting middle class families with mortgage fraud schemes,” the official said.”

“The probe is to be announced at noon Tuesday at the Justice Department by Attorney General Eric Holder, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan and Securities and Exchange Commission Enforcement Division Director Rob Khuzami.”

So they’re going after the frauds… Good for them.

Will they be investigating Barney Frank & his buddies at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for their involvement in the US mortgage meltdown?

Will they be “cracking down” on the financial fraud of uber-corrupticrat Charlie Rangel?

How about the fraud of Chris Dodd and his shady Countrywide mortgage deals?

Is ACORN voter fraud on the target list?

Perhaps Obama’s campaign finance fraud?

Everything you need to know about the hypocrisy of this supposed “crackdown” is summed up in the fact that Tim Geithner, the tax fraud who’s running the Treasury Department, is part of the team announcing the attack on “fraud.”

What a farce.

Tax Fraud in Chief Geithner is Drowning in Hypocrisy

geithner3

The man Obama has appointed to make sure Americans pay their taxes, who is incapable of paying his own taxes, is apparently running into problems handling his office. Shocker.

“As Geithner strives to address the financial crisis, advance Obama’s agenda and work with foreign leaders to stave off economic disaster, he’s assembled a 50-person “shadow cabinet” of would-be appointees. Those people have received hall passes and can advise Geithner, but they lack any authority.”

Why should American citizens have a lack of confidence in Tim Geithner? He’s going after the “evil” oil and gas companies because they don’t pay enough taxes. Oh wait…

Tax Fraud in Chief Promises More Theft

geithner

The tax fraud currently serving as head of the US Treasury Department has warned that he will probably need to steal up to TWO TRILLION more dollars from American tax payers in the coming year to bail out American banks.

“The main components of the Treasury’s package today are a joint public- and private-sector fund to buy as much as $1 trillion of illiquid assets and a $1 trillion program to supply new credit to consumers and businesses.

“I want to be candid: this strategy will cost money, involve risk, and take time,” Geithner said today.”

Criminal Sworn in as Head of US Treasury

geithner2

Timothy Geithner has been sworn in as Treasury Secretary of the United States.

Despite the objections of one Democrat.

With the help of 10 Republicans.

Hurrah for Susan Collins of Caribou, Maine who said no way.

Which reminds one of the Pixies song also called Caribou. No relation.

The Plot Thickens: Geithner Accepted Reimbursements for Taxes He Never Paid

Byron York at National Review has a new article out today in which he points out the stunning revelation that Timothy Geithner accepted reimbursements for taxes he never paid while working for the International Monetary Fund.

Here’s what we already knew:

“Documents released by the Senate Finance Committee strongly suggest that Geithner knew, or should have known, what he was doing when he did not pay self-employment taxes in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. After his failure to pay was discovered, first by the IRS and later during the vetting process, Geithner paid the federal government a total of $42,702 in taxes and interest.”

Here’s what we didn’t know:

“At the end of the tax allowance form were the words, “I hereby certify that all the information contained herein is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and that I will pay the taxes for which I have received tax allowance payments from the Fund.” Geithner signed the form. He accepted the allowance payment. He didn’t pay the tax. For several years in a row.”

Sound confusing? It really isn’t, you just need to read the full article at National Review Online.

What’s the Difference Between Timothy Geithner and Joe the Plumber?

joeLast fall, Joe the Plumber’s name was dragged through the muck when he dared to ask a question that Obama answered badly. How did the media respond?

JOE THE PLUMBER OWES $1,200 IN BACK TAXES!!!!!

Headlines like that were splashed across the liberal media.

Furthermore, news outlets investigated intensely and reported things like: He’s not a licensed plumber! His name isn’t really Joe! He’s not originally from Ohio! And on and on and on….

Flash forward to now.

Obama’s pick for Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, owed $32,000 in back taxes which he quickly paid up when he found out he was going to be tapped for the position.

What are the headlines?geithner1

GEITHNER’S SKILL MAY TRUMP TAX ISSUE

GEITHNER’S MISTAKE ON TAX IS COMMON, EXPERTS SAY

See? It’s just a common mistake in Geithner’s case! There’s no controversy here! There’s no double standard here!

Joe the Plumber is a private citizen but when he made Obama look bad, he was vilified for a measly $1,200 tax issue.

Timothy Geithner is about to be put in charge of the IRS in spite of a $32,000 tax scandal and the New York Times emphasizes his skill and a common mistake.

Where’s the outrage?

VP elect Joe Biden said that it’s patriotic to pay taxes.

Does that mean Timothy Geithner is unpatriotic? If so, doesn’t that negate his candidacy for Treasury Secretary?

All things considered, it should.
