While perusing Michelle Malkin’s website today, I found the platform of Peace Through Strength. While all 10 items on their platform list are rather inspiring, number 4 jumped off the page for reasons that should be obvious to all Americans.

4. A nation free of Shariah, the brutally repressive and anti-Constitutional totalitarian program that governs in Saudi Arabia, Iran and other Islamic states and that terrorists are fighting to impose worldwide.

Sharia law is not only incompatible with the United States Constitution, it flies in the face of every idea upon which America was founded.

Some on the left would deride this mention of Sharia law in America as paranoid and anti-Islam. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Muslims in America are free to practice their religion, just like everyone else. Let me say that again, Muslims in America are free to practice their religion, just like everyone else.

If however, religious zealots of any faith seek to impose their values on others under law, then the freedom of all Americans has been compromised and that is unacceptable.

If you think that could never happen here, you’re wrong.

The Constitution of the United States, our most sacred national document is six pages long. Six.

Nancy Pelosi’s new healthcare monstrosity is one thousand and nine hundred pages long. You can see it here. If you take a couple weeks off work you can read it too.

The Democrats created this beast behind closed doors and unveiled it today at an event in a public space which they opened only to their supporters.

A staffer for Republican Congressman Eric Cantor was even turned away by a Capital Hill cop who said she was under orders from the Speaker’s office to bar him from the event. Sound unbelievable? Here’s the video:

They were secretive about the bill’s creation and they’re being exclusive about who can attend the unveiling.

Yet we are to believe that they are acting in the interest of all the citizens of America.

This bill has nothing to do with compassion. This is about power and the lengths Pelosi and the Democrats will go to get it, to the ultimate ruin of us all.

Ed Morrissey, one of the chief bloggers at Hot Air, is at the Right Online Conference in PA this weekend. In the following video, he speaks to the audience about American history, ObamaCare, Constitutional rights, the importance of property rights and prosperity.

No wonder Obama wants ACORN’s fraud stained hands involved. By counting people who are in the United States illegaly, areas that favor Democrats will be given lopsided representation in our nation’s capital.

The Wall Street Journal:

“Next year’s census will determine the apportionment of House members and Electoral College votes for each state. To accomplish these vital constitutional purposes, the enumeration should count only citizens and persons who are legal, permanent residents. But it won’t.”

“Instead, the U.S. Census Bureau is set to count all persons physically present in the country—including large numbers who are here illegally. The result will unconstitutionally increase the number of representatives in some states and deprive some other states of their rightful political representation. Citizens of “loser” states should be outraged.”

“According to the latest American Community Survey, California has 5,622,422 noncitizens in its population of 36,264,467. Based on our round-number projection of a decade-end population in that state of 37,000,000 (including 5,750,000 noncitizens), California would have 57 members in the newly reapportioned U.S. House of Representatives.”

“However, with noncitizens not included for purposes of reapportionment, California would have 48 House seats (based on an estimated 308 million total population in 2010 with 283 million citizens, or 650,000 citizens per House seat). Using a similar projection, Texas would have 38 House members with noncitizens included. With only citizens counted, it would be entitled to 34 members.”

These “non-citizens” are the same people to whom Obama wants to give free healthcare and other handouts. The point? They’ll NEVER vote against him.

Here’s the bottom line:

“The census has drifted far from its constitutional roots, and the 2010 enumeration will result in a malapportionment of Congress.”

“The Census Bureau can of course collect whatever data Congress authorizes. But Congress must not permit the bureau to unconstitutionally redefine who are “We the People of the United States.”

Well said.

Final thought. I wouldn’t mind living in Ireland for a little while. If I just go there, do you think they’ll let me live there, give me healthcare for free, count me as a citizen and let me vote in their elections?

Would ANY other country in the world? Of course not!

So WHY DO WE????

Funny you don’t hear about this from any of the Obama adoring media.

Human Events reports that 11 states have already moved to declare sovereignty:

“These states — Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas — have passed resolutions reminding Obama that the 10th Amendment protects the rights of the states, which are the rights of the people, by limiting the power of the federal government. These resolutions call on Obama to “cease and desist” from his reckless government expansion and also indicate that federal laws and regulations implemented in violation of the 10th Amendment can be nullified by the states.”

Human Events points to liberal congress members and their willingness to step all over the United States Constitution, using as an example the push for a representative in Washington DC:

“The current push to give Washington, D.C. a voting representative in the House of Representatives is a good example; even liberal Prof. Jonathan Turley told a Congressional hearing that this bill is patently unconstitutional. But they press on with it.”

NewsWithViews does a good job breaking down the reasons for individual states to take such action, gun rights, free speech rights and abortion to name a few:

“According to political experts such as strategist Mike Baker, Americans are becoming disenchanted with the federal government’s lack of perspective on issues of great concern — illegal aliens, crime, economic turmoil — while intruding into the private lives of citizens with gun-control laws and other intrusions.”

Well, this certainly is change. Especially when you consider that a move to declare sovereignty by so many individual states has not happened in the lifetime of anyone reading these words right now.

Politico is reporting that Can’t-Move-On-dot-org is stoking the flame war between Obama and Rush Limbaugh.

After denouncing what they called “the politics of fear” for eight years, they’re now saying to America, “Are you with us or against us?”

Well, at least they’re transparent. This is a see through attempt to demonize conservatives as anti-American.

The KOS Kids have been pushing the GOP-is-anti-American meme all week.

But here’s the thing. This stimulus bill is supposed to be about creating jobs.

1. What jobs are created by buying new cars for the government?

2. Not all Americans want to work for ACORN.

3. Only a few people are qualified to work in Honey Bee Insurance.

Those are just three examples of the Pork Feast the Dems are trying to force Americans to swallow.

The Wall Street Journal calls the stimulus bill a 40 Year Wish List for the Democrats.

This has NOTHING to do with jobs for Americans.

This has ENTIRELY to do with liberal Democrats having their way with Lady Liberty.

Remember: If it smells like bullshit, it probably is bullshit.

Side with America.

Side with Rush.

Did you ever hear any of those crazy conspiracy theories about how Bush was going to cause a disaster of some kind, declare marshal law, suspend the 2008 election and declare himself an American dictator?
