The Alien In the White House, The VIDEO!

Dorothy Rabinowitz appeared on FOX News this weekend to elaborate on her stunning recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal titled “The Alien in the White House.”

Birthers and the lefties who love them will be disappointed…

Maybe Dorothy Rabinowitz should get the seat Helen Thomas used to sit in.

Alan Colmes Says There’s No Such Thing As Radical Islam, Daniel Pearl Couldn’t Be Reached For Comment

Hat tip to ZIP.

Liberal commentator Alan Colmes appeared on Megyn Kelly’s FOX News program yesterday and claimed that there’s no such thing as radical Islam.

Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl couldn’t be reached for comment because in 2002, an Islamic radical used a knife to cut Daniel Pearl’s head off, while he was completely awake without any type of anesthesia.

Meanwhile, liberal media outlets continue to insist that recent attempted terror attacks on the US have absolutely nothing to do with radical Islam. After all, things like that don’t happen in liberal places like Massachusetts.

Left Bank of the Charles breaks it down: You might be a terrorist if…

Attorney General Eric Holder can’t even say the words, neither can Obama.

It’s not that hard to figure out who’s attacking America, you just have to live in reality.

Our leaders apparently, do not.

UPDATE: Gateway Pundit links. Thanks!

Conduct Unbecoming a President

Dan Henninger of the Wall Street Journal points out Obama’s weak spot.

His pettiness.

VIDEO: Dan Henninger on Armageddon for Democrats

The Wall Street Journal’s Daniel Henninger published an op-ed today that should give nightmares to every Democrat up for re-election anytime in the next several years. Here’s a taste:

Dig past the headline of the Pew study and one discovers why Bill Clinton is insinuating that “demonizing” government could cause another Oklahoma City bombing. If these numbers are at all close to reality, something one can hardly doubt just now, the American people have issued a no-confidence vote in government, at both the national and state level. To the extent one believes in the “consent of the governed,” consent is being eroded. This report isn’t bad news for the Democrats. It’s Armageddon.

See Henninger’s accompanying video report below the fold.

Military Prosecutor Will Seek Death for Hasan

Nidal Malik HasanGood.

“Military prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for alleged Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was formally charged Thursday with 13 counts of premeditated murder, according to a senior Army officer familiar with the matter.”

“The last execution of an active-duty serviceman took place in 1961.”

“Despite evidence that Maj. Hasan had contact with a radical Muslim cleric, the decision to file the murder charges against him in military court, rather than in a civilian one, reflects the Army’s belief that the suspect acted alone and without any assistance from foreign or domestic terror groups.”

“Christopher Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command, said military investigators believe Maj. Hasan was the sole gunman in the assault, which killed 13 people and wounded 43.”

Ayn Rand, Libertarians and Glenn Beck

Libertarians and conservatives are old political friends. Although there have been a few bumps in the road over the years, we should all give credit to President Obama for making us more solid than ever. Maybe that's what Obama meant when he said he was a "uniter."

With the introduction of Cap & Trade, ObamaCare and corporate bailouts, you can practically taste the surge of of interest in libertarian ideology in the air. It’s no accident that Tea Parties are springing up everywhere, Ayn Rand is more popular than ever and Glenn Beck’s ratings continue to rise.

This hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Wall Street Journal where Steven Kurutz recently interviewed Ayn Rand biographer Anne C. Heller.

“When Anne C. Heller set out five years ago to write a biography of Ayn Rand, she was intrigued by the fact that though Rand’s novels like “The Fountainhead” continued to sell well, the libertarian writer was barely spoken about. One near-Depression later, however, Rand’s anti-socialist beliefs championing individualism over collectivism are suddenly striking a chord with critics of the government’s recent nationalization of banking and other industries.”

“The Wall Street Journal: Ayn Rand has been invoked at town hall meetings across the country. Why are Rand’s fiercely libertarian ideas — and novels — back in the news?”

“Her sales and reputation bubble along under the radar quite consistently. But certain opinion makers like Glenn Beck rediscovered her because there’s a strange parallelism between her visions in “Atlas Shrugged” and the Obama administration — namely, government taking over private industries. In periods of economic downtown “Atlas Shrugged” strikes a chord in people who are afraid of economic collapse.”

This liberty driven zeitgeist hasn’t escaped Reason Magazine either. A well known Libertarian outlet, Reason is producing a video series on the suddenly increased relevance of Ayn Rand’s work.

Ed Morrissey of Hot Air wrote a great post on this subject today where he tied it all together in this brilliant quote:

“Who would have guessed that the era of Hope and Change would have produced Rand as a counter-cultural phenomenon?”

“Well, perhaps Rand herself would have foreseen it — and in fact she did, in Atlas Shrugged.”

Libertarians and conservatives are old political friends. Although there have been a few bumps in the road over the years, we should all give credit to President Obama for making us more solid than ever.

Maybe that’s what Obama meant when he said he was a “uniter.”

Rush Limbaugh, The NFL, Hollywood and the Dangerous Precedent Being Set by the American Left

Dear readers,

I am not a football fan. I coudn’t possibly care less who owns which team or who wins the superbowl. I like Rush Limbaugh but I am no “dittohead.”

This story is about something much bigger. It’s about liberty, slander and what it means to be an American.

Rush Limbaugh writes in today’s Wall Street Journal:

The Race Card, Football and Me…

“David Checketts, an investor and owner of sports teams, approached me in late May about investing in the St. Louis Rams football franchise. As a football fan, I was intrigued. I invited him to my home where we discussed it further. Even after informing him that some people might try to make an issue of my participation, Mr. Checketts said he didn’t much care. I accepted his offer.”

“It didn’t take long before my name was selectively leaked to the media as part of the Checketts investment group. Shortly thereafter, the media elicited comments from the likes of Al Sharpton. In 1998 Mr. Sharpton was found guilty of defamation and ordered to pay $65,000 for falsely accusing a New York prosecutor of rape in the 1987 Tawana Brawley case. He also played a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot (he called neighborhood Jews “diamond merchants”) and 1995 Freddie’s Fashion Mart riot.”

“Not to be outdone, Jesse Jackson, whose history includes anti-Semitic speech (in 1984 he referred to Jews as “Hymies” and to New York City as “Hymietown” in a Washington Post interview) chimed in. He found me unfit to be associated with the NFL. I was too divisive and worse. I was accused of once supporting slavery and having praised Martin Luther King Jr.’s murderer, James Earl Ray.”

“Next came writers in the sports world, like the Washington Post’s Michael Wilbon. He wrote this gem earlier this week: “I’m not going to try and give specific examples of things Limbaugh has said over the years because I screwed up already doing that, repeating a quote attributed to Limbaugh (about slavery) which he has told me he simply did not say and does not reflect his feelings. I take him at his word. . . . “

“Mr. Wilbon wasn’t alone. Numerous sportswriters, CNN, MSNBC, among others, falsely attributed to me statements I had never made. Their sources, as best I can tell, were Wikipedia and each other. But the Wikipedia post was based on a fabrication printed in a book that also lacked any citation to an actual source.”

“I never said I supported slavery and I never praised James Earl Ray. How sick would that be? Just as sick as those who would use such outrageous slanders against me or anyone else who never even thought such things. Mr. Wilbon refuses to take responsibility for his poison pen, writing instead that he will take my word that I did not make these statements; others, like Rick Sanchez of CNN, essentially used the same sleight-of-hand.”

“The sports media elicited comments from a handful of players, none of whom I can recall ever meeting. Among other things, at least one said he would never play for a team I was involved in given my racial views. My racial views? You mean, my belief in a colorblind society where every individual is treated as a precious human being without regard to his race? Where football players should earn as much as they can and keep as much as they can, regardless of race? Those controversial racial views?”

Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood points to another type of NFL team owner:

NFL Owners Who Use the “N” Word and Wet Their Pants on Stage

“Amidst the uproar over Rush Limbaugh having to step aside from his participation in the bid to purchase the NFL’s St. Louis Rams over racially insensitive statements he never actually made, is the fact that current ACTUAL owners of an NFL team have said much worse than the false and the left says nothing.”

“Jennifer Lopez, whose Sondheim-like lyric genius is on display at the top of this post, holds the same status with the Miami Dolphins as Limbaugh would have with the Rams.  And, not only does she have co-writer credit on this offensive drivel, she also recorded and performed it live.  She continues to earn money in royalties for her genius use of the “N-Word.” My guess is that those who took issue with Limbaugh’s imaginary racial slur are OK with J-Lo’s actual racial slur because she looks a lot better in tight pants.”

“Meanwhile, another minority owner of the Dolphins has some controversial issues with public statements as well.  Recently, Dolphins minority owner Serena Williams broke quite a few FCC laws by letting loose an “F-word” filled tirade on live television during the US Open.  Then she menacingly threatened a side judge and was subsequently disqualified.  This kind of behavior and speech seems to be right in line with the NFL’s standards since I missed the press conference from Commissioner Roger Goodell condemning it.”

“Finally, we get to Fergie, some-time member of the Black Eyed Peas and some-time solo artist.  You betcha, she has also been approved as a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins. Fergie is a huge Obama supporter, so I guess the NFL thought it was pretty cool that she just performed her song “Glamorous” at the White House Easter egg hunt… an event for children. Here’s how the DC Examiner reported the event:”

“Lines like “wear them gold and diamond rings” and “I’m not clean, I’m not pristine” may not be the dream lyrics for their daughters to emulate, but the song’s repetition of the line “If you ain’t got no money take your broke a** home” made a few parents cringe. She did of course edit the curse word from the song Monday — but some of crowd members helpfully filled it in for her.”

“It gets better. Earlier this week, Goodell said of Limbaugh’s potential ownership, “Divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about.” Is he splitting hairs between “comments” and “lyrics?” Because these lyrics from a 2003 Black Eyed Peas song sounds pretty divisive to me.”

The American left is setting a very dangerous precedent for all Americans but particularly for themselves.

Average Americans already have their eyes trained on people like Bill Ayers, a man who attacked our country yet retains a prestigious position at a state funded college.

Average Americans hear Hollywood’s laughable defense of the child rapist, Roman Polanski.

Average Americans know the Obama White House is already stained with appointees who are enemies of America.

Do leftists think the American people are going to forget any of this when Obama is no longer the President in four or eight years?

Everything is being documented.

Your positions on what is considered politically acceptable are duly noted on every issue.

Four or eight years from now, you will cry out in defiance. How you act now will determine whether your objections are heard or simply fall on deaf ears.

You have been warned.

Is There Anyone Connected to Obama Who Approves of Small Businesses That Create Jobs?

A Chicago businessman named James Andrews had a great idea. Open a hot dog stand, hire mainly ex-convicts who often have trouble finding jobs and call the place "Felony Franks." The business is doing extremely well, is enjoyed by local residents and Mr. Andrews has received thousands of job applications. Yet there are two people in Chicago who are criticizing his efforts.

A Chicago businessman named James Andrews had a great idea. Open a hot dog stand, hire mainly ex-convicts who often have trouble finding jobs and call the place “Felony Franks.”

The business is doing extremely well, is enjoyed by local residents and Mr. Andrews has received thousands of job applications. Yet there are two people in Chicago who are criticizing his efforts.

First, there’s Father Michael Pfleger, who famously mocked Hillary Clinton (in a church) by saying:

“And she said, ‘Oh, damn. Where did you come from? I’m white. I’m entitled. There’s a black man stealing my show.”

Second, there’s Alderman Robert Fioretti who was disappointed to find out the Olympics were not coming to Chicago.

“Ald. Robert Fioretti, 2nd, whose ward would have included many Olympic facilities, said he was shocked by the decision. “It’s geo-political forces that were beyond our control,” he said, citing a perception that U.S. actions triggered the worldwide recession.”

Why do they have a problem with Felony Franks? One would think that in America’s current economic environment, anyone who can successfully create jobs would be praised for the efforts. Apparently not.

The Wall Street Journal reports “Slaw and Order”

“An alderman has refused Mr. Andrews permission to hang a new sign or build a drive-through lane. A pastor accused the restaurant owner, who is not an ex-convict, of “pimping out” the community. Members of a neighborhood association have vowed to stay away from Felony Franks until the name is changed and the décor — including paintings of cartoon hot dogs in prison stripes — is removed.”

“I don’t understand it,” Mr. Andrews says. “I really don’t.”

“The 64-year-old businessman has long employed ex-convicts at his main business, a company that supplies paper goods to restaurants.”

“He says he thinks people deserve a second chance and felons need stable jobs so they don’t add to homelessness. He thought of opening a hot-dog stand three years ago while driving past one. The name “Felony Franks” just popped into his head, he says.”

So here you have a small business owner, creating jobs for people who have a harder time finding work than anyone else, and he’s being accused of “pimping” the community by Obama’s favorite Catholic priest. Here you have an entrepreneur trying to stimulate a local economy and the local Alderman is playing politics over the damn store sign.

I ask again. Is there anyone connected to Obama who approves of small businesses that create jobs?

Lest We Forget: The Newest Supreme Court JUDGE Sonia Sotomayor Has Ties to ACORN

As the scandal of ACORN erupts across our country proving once and for all that ACORN is a sleazy racket which has no problem with tax evasion or child prostitution, we might do ourselves well to remember that President Obama's first Supreme Court appointee has ties to said organization.

As the scandal of ACORN erupts across our country proving once and for all that ACORN is a sleazy racket which has no problem with tax evasion or child prostitution, we might do ourselves well to remember that President Obama’s first Supreme Court appointee has ties to said organization.

The Washington Times July 2, 2009:

“Judge Sotomayor worked for PRLDEF in various capacities from 1980 until she became a federal judge in 1992, spending most of her time as a board member.”

“The documents, which the group’s lawyers have said include relevant information about Judge Sotomayor’s time there, also show the fund did legal work for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN. During the 2008 presidential election, ACORN came under fire after allegations of voter registration fraud.”

Great.

Today, the Wall Street Journal reports that Justice Sotomayor is falling right in line with her “community organization” past. How? By demonizing corporations, of course.

Sotomayor Issues Challenge to a Century of Corporate Law

“In her maiden Supreme Court appearance last week, Justice Sonia Sotomayor made a provocative comment that probed the foundations of corporate law.”

“During arguments in a campaign-finance case, the court’s majority conservatives seemed persuaded that corporations have broad First Amendment rights and that recent precedents upholding limits on corporate political spending should be overruled.”

“But Justice Sotomayor suggested the majority might have it all wrong — and that instead the court should reconsider the 19th century rulings that first afforded corporations the same rights flesh-and-blood people have.”

“I don’t want to draw too much from one comment,” says Todd Gaziano, director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the conservative Heritage Foundation. But it “doesn’t give me a lot of confidence that she respects the corporate form and the type of rights that it should be afforded.”

ACORN may be falling apart at the seams but they have an ally on the bench of the American Supreme Court. Justice Sotomayor sent her warning shot across America’s bow with this statement.

I wish I could give her the benefit of the doubt but I fear her tenure on the Supreme Court will be favorable to leftism of the same ilk as ACORN.

Anyone who opposed Sotomayor’s appointment was called “fanatical” and “racist” just like anyone who opposes Obama’s policies but at the end of the day, the facts speak for themselves.

We now have a Supreme Court Justice in Sotomayor who once worked with and supported a corrupt organization now being investigated for vote fraud in multiple states. And more recently for offering support to illegal immigration, human trafficking and the sex slavery of children.

The next time Obama supporters and the media (same difference) tell us we’re crazy to oppose an Obama decision we know in our gut to be wrong, perhaps we’ll trust our intuition and not the evening news.

More at Memeorandum.
