New Episode Of Family Guy Yanked Over Gun Violence

December 16, 2012

Tonight’s new episode of Family Guy is going to be replaced by a repeat.

Eonline reports…

More Hollywood sympathy emerges in the wake of the Newton shooting on Friday.

After movie premieres like Jack Reacher and Parental Guidance were cancelled, as well as SyFy’s Haven episodes being pulled, now Fox has also followed suit, honoring the victims of the Connecticut school massacre by pulling new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad on Sunday, airing repeats instead.

The network decided not to air Family Guy’s “Jesus, Mary and Joseph!” episode this upcoming Sunday in which Peter tells his own version of the nativity story as well as American Dad’s “Minstrel Krampus,” which features a demon who punishes naughty children. The episodes are being withheld due to possibly sensitive material.

Anyone who’s ever watched Family Guy knows they have a tremendous record on sensitivity.

Mass murder is an acceptable joke as long as you’re demonizing the right people.

This is plain & simple “#$%$.”! If someone is offended than watch something else!
Why should responsible people have to lose out?
Besides it’s just a propaganda move on the part of the networks to keep the whiners off their backs. Sooner or later the episodes should be available somewhere.
If anyone finds out when & where these episodes can be viewed please post it.

Might have been self serving, too. Don’t know what time they air on the east coast, but they may have taken a beatings in the ratings between the Patriot /49er game and the president’s address. This way, they can blame the poor ratings on a rerun.
