I Am So Ready For The Blizzard Tomorrow
I just saw a New England weather map on the news and it turns out I’m in the “red zone” which will get the most snowfall at 2 plus feet. Big deal! I remember the Blizzard of ’78 when the snow drifts covered the first floor windows of my house. That was a fun time to be a kid, I can tell you.
I’m looking forward to the storm. It’ll probably get me out of work early tomorrow and give me more time to blog and waste time on Twitter. Plus we haven’t had much snow this winter so I’m not worn out by it yet. The snow is always very pretty after the storm and will give me a good reason the make a new banner for the blog.
I went to my local supermarket tonight on my way home from work and it was total pandemonium. People were lined up at the registers with carriages overflowing with canned goods and bottled water as if they were going to be shut in for days. I sauntered through the express line with less than 13 items, reminding myself that there are advantages to being a single guy.
I’ve got food in the pantry, a case of beer in the fridge and a snow shovel at the ready.
Bring it on, nature!
