Mao Loving Former Obama Staffer Still Obsessed With FOX News

February 15, 2013

You may remember former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn from her 2009 war on FOX News.

Or you may remember the 2009 speech in which she declared Mao Tse Tung as one of her personal heroes.

She’s now back in the news for saying her war on FOX was justified…

Back in October 2009, Anita Dunn, then the White House communications director, sounded off against Fox News on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” She said Fox News was “not a news network at this point” and pointed to the network’s coverage of President Barack Obama’s ties to Bill Ayers and ACORN to justify Obama not appearing on the news channel.

Nearly three-and-a-half years later, in an appearance on HuffPost Live on Wednesday, Dunn reflected on those remarks, calling them “a simple decision.” She insisted the news channel’s post-election shuffling of some of its personnel was proof that Fox is trying to remake itself, and she credited Fox News chief Roger Ailes.

Uh huh… Sure.

This long distance dedication goes out to you, Anita. Sing along with me…

I have this lingering suspicion that she may be actively trolling for a position as a Fox News contributor.

    Why would I think that?

Well, first and foremost, there is her unabashed public flirting with Roger Ailes . . . and yes I know she is married to former Obama Consiliere, Greg Craig. But that wouldn’t stop a Mao-loving hack from winking and wiggling a little bit for a chance at a spot in the only sunlight in town, now would it?

Consider that she has just unilaterally declared the war with Fox to be over, and she is only indirectly declaring victory.

Note that she is now publicly saying that Fox News has successfully “evolved” and she is giving Roger Ailes all the credit. “And Roger Ailes, who is nothing if not an excellent television person and very smart executive, is realizing that the creationism of the past has to end. And so you see the Fox evolution.”

That statement reeks! It has the stench of the old, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em,” bromide wafting all about it!

Hopefully, Roger has enough sense to have himself a good chuckle and ignore the overture. Occasionally being obliged to listen to the drivel from Bob Beckel is quite enough of a price for Fox viewers to have to pay! Her presence would be over the top.

I stopped watching Fox after seeing Bob Beckel for the first (and last) time.
