Two Boston Cops Hospitalized After Beating From Six Teens
All the officers were trying to do was serve a probation warrant. For anyone not familiar with the Boston area, this occurred in Roxbury which is a high crime area.
The teens were all related to the subject of the warrant. If this family is on any form of public assistance, it should end. Immediately.
The Boston Herald reported…
6 teens charged in attack on cops serving warrant
Two Boston police officers were hospitalized yesterday after they were cornered in a stairwell by at least six teens who “kicked, punched, and choked” them as the cops tried to arrest a family member on a warrant in Roxbury, police said.
At 11 a.m. yesterday, a male and female police officer went to Wayne Street to serve a probation warrant on Woobenson Morissett, 19, of Dorchester for defaulting on court appearances, police said.
Cops said they were initially told by Morissett’s family that he was not at home, but they were allowed to search the apartment.
The officers found Morissett in the apartment building’s rear stairwell, where police said Morissett attacked them, and while police were struggling with him, several of his relatives then poured out of two apartments and joined in the fight.
“Numerous occupants (mostly the suspect’s family members) exited from Apt. #4 and Apt. #3, entered the stairwell and began assaulting the officers in an effort to free the suspect and prevent him from being arrested,” police stated in a report. “During the altercation, officers were kicked, punched and choked by numerous suspects.”
Cops used pepper spray to defend themselves and several officers raced to the scene to assist.
The two officers were taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
We live in a viral culture now where trends can become national in a matter of hours. In some circles, it has now become trendy to defy cops and even use unprovoked violence against them.
This will not end well.
