Liberals Lose Their Minds Over Ted Cruz NASA Appointment Because SCIENCE!
Ted Cruz is going to chair a senate subcommittee which will oversee NASA and liberals are going out of their minds because SCIENCE!
Slate, Salon, the Huffington Post and all the other usual suspects are throwing around terms like “science denier” to describe Cruz as if he’s a member of the Flat Earth Society.
This report from Tech Crunch got a lot of play in the blogosphere today…
Climate Change-Denying Senator Ted Cruz Will Oversee NASA
Senator Ted Cruz of Texas will chair the Senate subcommittee on Space, Science, and Competitiveness, providing him with an oversight role of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA.
That slight twinge you felt was the proper emotion. The Senator, by way of a single example, tried to reduce NASA funding to be, in his view, compliant with a Federal spending cut. His amendment failed on a party-line vote.
As we all know, only Democrats are capable of scientific thought.
Perhaps Democratic congressman Hank Johnson would have been a better choice. You may remember him as the guy who said that Guam might tip over.
And of course, who can forget Obama’s plan to use NASA to make Muslims feel better about themselves?
Barack Obama: Nasa must try to make Muslims ‘feel good’
Charles Bolden, a retired United States Marines Corps major-general and former astronaut, said in an interview with al-Jazeera that Nasa was not only a space exploration agency but also an “Earth improvement agency”.
Mr Bolden said: “When I became the Nasa administrator, he [Mr Obama] charged me with three things.
“One, he wanted me to help reinspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”
Everyone should just listen to Wil Wheaton. After all, he’s an actor who was on a TV show about space which makes him an expert on SCIENCE!
