Music Break – Procol Harum

January 23, 2015

Not to be confused with Boko Haram.

The 1967 song “A Whiter Shade of Pale” was Procol Harum’s greatest hit.

Did you know the music was based on a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach?

More music posts! After reading and, of course research, music provides the “motivational environment” that helps me get words into the manuscript forming in my macbook. My MP3 player (not happy with itunes, yet) and headphones insulate me from outside distractions and even with Clapton or Buffett or Walsh or Strait or Krause serenading my feeble mind, the images and dialogue yet to form seem to materialize and flow.

It is very helpful for others to highlight their musical favorites and remind me that there is so much more out there that I have either forgotten about or simply ignored. So now off to Amazon!

Think they spent all $12 of their budget making this video?

Brought back some nice memories. Great music era.
