Bernie Sanders in 1972: Women ‘Fantasize About Being Raped’

May 28, 2015

The left thinks it found its Elizabeth Warren style candidate in Vermont’s socialist senator Bernie Sanders, they just love him. He hates big banks and big money. He wants free college for all. He wants a 90 percent tax rate on the rich. He’s the perfect progressive candidate.

Except for this. Oops…

Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Essay: Women ‘Fantasize About Being Raped’

In a 1972 essay, presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) opined that men fantasized about women being abused. He also claimed that women fantasized about being gang raped.

In an article entitled “Men-And-Women,” published in an alternative newspaper called the “Vermont Freeman” Sanders shared his thoughts on male and female sexuality in ways that would cause a media firestorm if it had been penned by any current GOP candidate. Even one with as little chance at grabbing his party’s nomination as Sanders currently has.

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy,” wrote Sanders. “A woman on her knees. A woman tied up. A woman abused.”

Sanders didn’t specify as to how he had gained such a deep understanding of the male psyche.

In terms of his understanding of female sexual fantasies, Sanders provided similar insight.

“A woman enjoys intercourse with her man–as she fantasizes about being raped by 3 men simultaneously.”

Wait, his progressive fans are saying. This was from 1972. Surely, you can’t hold a politician responsible for something he wrote or did so many years ago.

Yeah, about that…

Mitt Romney’s prep school classmates recall pranks, but also troubling incidents

And this…

Jeb Bush was a pot-smoking bully, say former classmates

As you can see, the left and their media allies have repeatedly shown there’s no statute of limitations on scandals for politicians.

I look forward to thoughtful articles from Salon, Think Progress, the New York Times and the Washington Post about Bernie Sanders’ rape culture problem.

Hey Rolling Stone, here’s a real rape story you can cover.

Charles C.W. Cooke of National Review says conservatives should take the high road on this.

I like you Charles but fuck that noise.

Ace has a better plan. Let’s make the left live by the rules they created.

This story should and must produce political pain for the left.

We all know a media feeding frenzy would be going on right now if a Republican had written anything even closely resembling what Sanders wrote. So where’s the outrage?

What do you expect from a socialist? They believe people are chattel to be either milked or tended by the government – they’re all about objectifying people for the purposes of the state. There is no humanity or dignity in them.
